Robert Carr was great, he was most informative, knew everything about the closets and was amazing in communication. I interviewed other closet organizing companies but Robert was the best in communicating and I knew this project would require great communication and skill. His crew was great at installation and keeping my area VERY clean!

California Closets were good to work with as we had three closets to be built out in our new home, as well as a food pantry. All in all, it turned out fine. Hard to wait three months for them to be installed.

Very much enjoyed working with California Closets. At every stage, including initial meeting to review my needs, design and drawings, installation, billing and follow up, they were informative, helpful and "user friendly".

Great overall experience, and Maggie Erickson was super helpful and patient with us throughout the process. Very impressed by the efficiency of the ordering/scheduling/installation process as well!

I went through the designing process to make my 5 year old daughters closet a partial desk area/craft closet along with being an actual clothes closet. It turned out amazing. It is probably my favorite part of the house now. Very well done, looks great. It is my design and I’m very creative. The designer worked very well with me and it was quite a pleasure watching my idea come to life. He understood what my price point was and stayed within those parameters while also giving me exactly what I wanted. I am very satisfied and when I have some extra money I will revamp another area. The install was great, very professional and did a wonderful job. I am forgetting everyone’s name and I apologize for that, my review was a few months delayed. I was probably enjoying and absorbing this new area of the house.

Our California Closets rep did a superb job in a challenging, difficult space. Our house built was in 1893 and the closet in question had sloping roofs, and uneven measurements, etc. Our California Closets representative - Todd Golbek - was way above and beyond the call of duty in solving all the problems and delivering an excellent finished project.

We used California Closets for installation of custom cabinetry in our garage. Our designer was Tacha Scott. Throughout the process everyone we interacted with was friendly, communicative, responsive and professional. Our questions were always answered quickly and thoroughly, all contract expectations were met, and the installation was seamless. We called to have one adjustment made after installation, and any changes are covered under the warranty so at no additional charge. The technician was prompt and took care of the change quickly and easily. We are thrilled with the quality of the cabinets and were impressed by California Closet's team every step of the way. We could not more highly recommend them for custom cabinetry needs.

California Closets asked me several times to post a review, so here it is. We had a great experience with our salesperson, but the company failed to meet our expectations on the quality of the materials and the install process itself. To make a long story short, it took 8 scheduled visits to complete the install of our Master Closet, largely due to continued quality issues with their doors. Though in the end they replaced all the doors with issues, we had to schedule our time to be available for them which was a major inconvenience for us. Especially since on more than one occasion the replacement door they brought had the same or worse warping issues as the one that needed replacement. The installation crews were equally as pleasant to work with as our salesman, and apologized many times after realizing the replacements were as bad or worse. More than once their visit was short as they discovered the issue with the new doors before installing them and suggested we needed to contact the Service/Quality Manager. But this still wasted our time, as we had to re-arrange our day to suit their visit. To make it a little more frustrating, I tried to convince the Service/Quality Manager to please check the doors before they scheduled a visit, but was told they didn't have the right tools to do so. This wasn't a great answer, a tape measure or straight-edge would have found the problem.

Not sure I could recommend California Closets after our experience, unless they could prove to you their quality standards have improved and/or their vendor issues (the explanation I was given a few times) have been resolved.

The final versions of the projects met our expections. It took 5 visits to complete the project we were told due to pandemic shortages of personnel, supplies, etc.so.it was a long wait. I hope the company will look to hire more qualified installers to meet the demands.

We had an excellent experience with Heather King and California Closets. They helped us redesign a small room to accommodate a wall bed as well as work space. We are very happy with the results.

Nic and the team did a great job communicating back and forth with me on the design, scheduling and installation of our closet. I was very happy with their professionalism both via communications and the installer himself. I would highly recommend California Closets and specifically Nic as a designer.

I am 82 years old and I moved to a retirement community last August. In Sept I designed my closet and as of today it is still not installed. They send installers twice but both times the installers were not vaccinated. The contents of my closet are still all over my 660sq ft apt. It is very dangerous for me to live in this mess be3cause of falling. I'm having another closet company come today to measure for a closet. Plus I've already paid for a large portion of the fee. It is more than frustration and no matter who I call nothing has changed.
