I find it supremely ironic how people complain of the supposed inefficiency of govt. I drive for uber, what they couldn't answer in literally 50 calls to a ridiculously inept, outsourced customer service dept, took 10 minutes in and out the door at the caftb. Oh, and it turns out screwber wasn't following the ca state law, shocking.

Amidst the known challenges that often accompany interactions with the Franchise Tax Board (FTB), my experience took an extraordinary turn for the better, all thanks to the exceptional assistance provided by Lupe. Her remarkable commitment to customer service and her ability to transcend the norms of wait times and customer service shortcomings truly made her a shining star in the midst of it all.

In an environment where long wait times and less-than-stellar customer service are often the norm, Lupe's presence was truly a breath of fresh air. Her dedication to her role was evident from the outset, as she seamlessly combined efficiency with a genuine eagerness to help. It was immediately clear that Lupe's approach was a rare gem, setting her miles apart from the typical experiences often associated with the FTB.

Lupe's impact, however, extended far beyond mere competence. Her unwavering commitment to making the process smooth and stress-free made an immense difference. Her ability to address inquiries promptly and accurately, while maintaining a positive demeanor, showcased her genuine concern for her clients' needs. Lupe's personal touch elevated the entire experience, leaving me feeling heard, valued, and supported throughout.

Amidst the sea of challenges that can sometimes characterize interactions with the FTB, Lupe was a beacon of excellence. Her presence was a testament to her dedication to her role and her commitment to delivering an unparalleled level of service. It's evident that she takes pride in her work, and her approach exemplifies what exceptional customer service should be.

Lupe's unique ability to rise above the common pitfalls of long wait times and less-than-ideal customer service is truly commendable. Her dedication, professionalism, and innate ability to make clients feel like valued individuals stand as a testament to her exceptional qualities. The FTB is truly fortunate to have Lupe as an agent who not only defies the stereotypes but goes above and beyond to redefine the standard of service.

Insanely Incompetent.
For their record, FTB employees entered an incomplete address for me, despite my using an abundance of caution, and very neatly typing the information using their own official forms and mailing it from the USPS.
As a result, my MCTR debit card was returned to them in May 2022.
I was able to confer with a human being about 10 months later by going in person to the FTB in Santa Ana. That’s how I found out about their address snafu.
The clerk explained that he would make the correction immediately while I was sitting there.
Today, another 3 months later, according to the MCTR card issuer, they have received no request or communication or address change from the FTR. I never heard from anyone of them again. So incompetent! The time I have spent on this with circular phone calls and lack of resolution is truly embarrassing, otherwise it’s would be dystopian.

These people aren’t human. No one is that worthless let alone un-intelligent. It’s scary these things are allowed to drive on our roads to work. What a hilarious example of California. We’d get more from the FTB by forcing them to do hard labor with no breaks filling potholes that aren’t fixed, than the tax money they somehow manage to collect.

I just don't think it far we didn't get a gas refund, because we didn't file taxes last year we make less than 32,00 and we didn't qualify to file taxes. My husband and I are both disabled and are sad. We still had to pay the high cost for gasoline, so we could go to doctor appointment and to get food. Which we hardly can afford food. When my friend has over a half million dollars in the bak and got the refund. How is this far
