CA Scuba Center is the absolute best! If you're looking for the best scuba diving Fresno shop, this is the place to go! When starting my journey I literally called around to every shop locally to get info about diving certification, since I had plans to vacation to hawaii and needed to be certified for a dive I wanted to do. All the other shops I called were rude and not helpful at all, I couldn't believe how terrible other shops were. But, when I finally called CA Scuba Center the staff was amazing, helpful, and answered all my questions! They had no issues explaining the process of how getting certified worked, and what my options were. I ended up signing up for the diving certification class, then came in the next day to check out gear (fins, mask, gloves, booties, etc.). When I was at the shop the owner Mike was super helpful. Talked to me about all the different equipment, differences of brands, and recommended gear without trying to sell me on the most expensive gear they offered. Thought that was awesome! The scuba diving class was just the same level of service. At the pool training session the instructor Bear was detailed and really taught us so many important skills! It was safe and fun! My buddy who was already certified had signed up for a refresher course and he joined the pool training with me. Well, my buddy said that this training was WAY better than the class he had taken with a different shop. CA Scuba Center's program taught him more skills than his actual class! So it was more like a new class for him, and not just a refresher. After the pool training, we finally got into open water training and tested all the skills we learned. I felt ready and confident from the training I received. I gotta say, I honestly didn't know that I would like scuba diving as much as I do, but I am now looking forward to going on diving trips with this CA Scuba Center, and lucky I picked the best scuba diving shop! Highly recommend this place. Long story short, if you are wanting to get certified, or simply looking to buy new gear - you're gonna get the best service and honest fair pricing from these guys.

Working with the team at California Scuba Center was a great experience for my wife and I as we signed up to get our certification. Mike and his staff were great and very patient with us. We've now gone on our first 2 dives as certified divers in Mexico recently! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get certified.

We had a great experience training with CA Scuba Center. The staff is passionate about what they do. I struggled a little in the beginning and the staff patiently helped me through it. We also met some great friends in the process. ️️

Fairly new to the dive community, but never felt the uncomfortable feeling of immersing yourself into a new world at this shop friendly staff and the educators made their knowledge readily available. Overall great experience!

Regulator Service

Took in my Atomic regulator in for service. Staff very professional and owner Mike would perform the service. Service kit was delayed (like everything else-Covid) and I was contacted and told about the delay. I appreciated the update. Kit came in and service was completed. However while conducting a final service test Mike didn't like how the regulator air flow went through the second stage. He contacted me and said he located a small cracked part not included in service kit. He ordered the part and everything is good to go. Very professional job!

So glad to have found California Scuba Center! Rachel was so helpful, friendly, and professional. I was certified in 1991 at Bob’s Dive Shop. I love them. However, over the last few years, when I call, I feel like they don’t want to be bothered. It could be I called on bad days? I never feel like that at CSC!

We are a family of 4 with new (younger) divers. I wanted to rent a few tanks, weights, and BCD for our kids to practice in our pool before a trip to Cozumel. Rachel got me all hooked up! And, gave me great advice regarding diving in Cozumel. As a result, my husband and 2 kids had an amazing time!

I was trying to get a hold of an akona terrapin bag for couple of months with no luck, as it was out of stock everywhere, until i found & reached out to california scuba center, and Mike from the store solved that out for me in 5 minutes, all it took was a paypal invoice and bag was shipped in 2 business days, arrived in original factory packaging, it was an amazing experience after all the struggle, great customer service yet so helpful and friendly, answered all my questions promptly, i would recommend california scuba center any day! And will be my go to dive shop going forward!

Shop explained what we needed for what we were doing without trying to up sell me on things I didn’t want. Fixed and filled my tank quickly. I felt the cost was well worth what I was getting & they were willing to give info and talk with expectations. Will certainly use again.

So happy to have found the California Scuba Center family, and get taken in like family. Throughout training and certification to where we are today, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

My daughter and I just finished up our open water diving certification through California Scuba Center. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is just awesome to work with. Our instructor, Bear, and the assistant instructors, were phenomenal. The customer service is outstanding. They also do trips and scuba outings, which is something to look forward to in the future. We couldn't be happier with the experience.

Just an update: I just got back from Belize, where my daughter and I used our scuba certification and had a great time! Thanks again to California Scuba Center!
