California Tropical Fruit Tree reviews
9Lovely spot. Large assortment of exotics. I went to purchase a pomelo tree. The tree looked good and was reasonably priced. Eric helped me. He was friendly, helpful, and informative. I will be returning
Terrible business practices. The BBB needs to open a file on this place. Sells seedling sapodillas and lies about them being grafted. After you purchase, get home, and find out it's not grafted, they refuse to give you a refund. Trees are mis-marked and not true to the label. Mango varieties are awful. Overpriced. Better options exist in So California and online. Buyer beware!
The employees are real nice make sure you go there with employees are there do not go when the owner is there he changes the prices a lot nice Nursery by the owner is rude
I don't do reviews unless things are super good or super bad. Unfortunately, this is not a good review. I was all excited to get to know this place. I drove from the Central Valley in California to see this nursery due to its website. However, I experienced the worst customer service ever. I was ignored, and frankly, I had a list of guava and banana trees I wanted to buy, but the person that was there, was not interested in helping me find these plants. I wasn't greeted or even welcomed (which wouldn't be a downer if I had been helped to buy what I intended to buy). I feel I need to repeat myself: at this point, I wouldn't care if the person was nice, as long as I did my shopping. I genuinely felt this nursery doesn't care for people that really show excitement in buying. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Rude people! I would give this place a negative star if I could. It seems this is a trend, as I am reading other reviews that have experienced similar experiences.
I bought 2 specific grape vines. Neither one was the variety the name tag said. Now I need to hire someone to help me dig them up.
Great selection and awesome prices for exotic and unique fruit trees and plants that are hard to find at regular nurseries, located on a beautifully landscaped property. The staff is very informative.
I've been to the nursery 3 times, purchasing trees on two of those visits. My mango, acerola, jujube, and lychee are beautiful trees that are not available in most places. Perry was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. I love being able to support a local, family owned nursery.especially when they offer great service. Some people may be surprised at sticker prices when comparing to home depot or lowes, but many of his trees are less common and more mature.so one must account for the time, water, and care placed into each tree. That being said prices are fair as well (although, it would be cool to have prices posted). Thank you for everything, I'll probably come back for potted trees (I think I've exploited most of my in-ground space)!
I visited the nursery a while ago to check out the selection for planning of a food forest in my new home. The selection of varieties was great but my experience was pretty bad. The owner was rude as if we weren’t worth his time and would not give me a quote for the trees stating it varied from tree to tree. That serves pretty badly for any planning or budgeting. When I buy my huge batch of trees, I’ll go somewhere else. Thanks but no thanks.
A great place, found exactly what I needed and more. The staff was very helpful. I wish I’d found this place years earlier, they have such a great variety of fruit trees.
