Calvary Catholic Cemetery

So far 2 of the flower holders have been stolen from my family's graves and 1 permanent picture. It's very expensive replacing them. I don't mind the deer eating their flowers, but it's sad when the more permanent things disappear.

I was very distressed when we interred my brother in one of the mausoleums (the indoor option) at the state of my parents graves. When my father died in 1973 my mother very deliberately purchased his grave on a hill overlooking Santa Rosa. She also purchased her own plot then. Back then it was a beautiful, quiet spot for her to go and sit with him. Two years ago, when my brother died, I went to their graves. The grass was sparce and riddled with gopher/mole/vole activity. I understand the grass.we are in a drought. Replace it with eco-friendly compost. As for the vermin activity.there are a number of ways to deal with that which don't include poisons. My mother must be rolling in that grave. She was fastidious. I felt so bad.
