Let me start by saying that I love the Calvary way of Bible teaching! My family and I attended Calvary Chapel in our hometown and have visited many Calvary Chapel churches throughout the years and have never had an issue.
We happened to be staying in the area so this was our first time visiting Calvary Chapel Rialto. As we were walking in, we were stopped at the door and not allowed inside because my kids were with me. They said no kids allowed because they "wouldn’t understand". That really bothered me. How are they going to tell me what my kids can and cannot understand? I suppose if my kids were toddlers, that reasoning would make more sense but, my kids are in 5th, 7th, & 9th grade and understand perfectly fine. Anyway, they were pressuring me to take them to the children’s ministry, but I didn’t feel comfortable with that so a lady told us to sit on some chairs in the middle of the foyer. People stared as they walked past us into the sanctuary We felt so awkward and uncomfortable. We were seriously thinking about leaving when a man came and said he could make an exception “just this once” and led us to one of the back rows of the sanctuary.

I know they tried to accommodate us in the end, but I just couldn’t get passed the way we were treated initially. I’m glad others have had a good experience at this church, but unfortunately I didn’t and sadly I won’t be back.

Calvary Chapel has been my home church for the past 18 years, and my family and I are so blessed by the pastors who preach the word of God in boldness and without wavering.
Moreover, my three children have grown up in this church and I am amazed with all that the Lord is doing in their lives, and it's because of the wonderful servants and teachers who have come alongside them and encouraged them in many ways.
This church has been like a family to me, and I am so so blessed to have a place like this to serve and worship my King!

This review is for the school, not the church, since they removed their entire Yelp when I posted a review previously. I have edited my review due to threats of being sued for a very detailed bad review on a situation going on with my niece who I love very dearly.
Due to going the extra mile to set up meetings, checking PERSONAL children’s files to track my information down, and threatening to sue me for posting about my nieces situation I am fixing my review however, I would like to clarify this school is easily the most unprofessional private school and a complete joke.
Luckily due to my bad review, they have fixed the issues and I’m glad that they finally did something to help after neglecting the situation for years and having to see my niece heartbroken and depressed due to threats of being held back in her grade yet receiving no help at all yet seeing well and clear that they were helping other children and refused to make space for her to get help as well until now. Thank you to the pastors who must’ve prayed for the principal after my last review because I am GLAD that they have now helped. As someone who went to a private school their entire life, it was completely shocking that my family has paid thousands of dollars additional to the tuition to have her in therapy and in tutoring every day of the week. She has always been the most cheerful and positive child and it was absolutely heartbreaking to hear her coming home saying she wasn’t good enough or smart enough after having to sit through meetings between her mother and principal where her principal thought it would be appropriate for a child to sit through and offer candy as a reward after a slap in the face of pure complaints about her.
My suggestion for parents considering this school is to please look anywhere else. It is sad because you’d expect more from a Christian school and Christian teachers and staff, but at least for my family and friends no one will be returning to this school because now we know that a Christian school does not mean Christ like attitude is implemented. Also please keep in mind that this school is not accredited, do your research before you invest your money and allow these people into your children’s lives.
& to the principal who threatened to sue me for posting that she is a horrible person and for all she did, we are praying for you and that God will place you in the career made for you because children are a delicate gift from God and their hearts should be taken care of ALWAYS especially when we are paying you to do so.please review the consumer review fairness act before threatening to sue someone in order to remove the dirt off of your name Calvary Chapel Rialto. Also, defamation of character is only valid when your name is clean and NONE of it is true.know your rights before this school tries to threaten you to keep quiet about what goes on here.
I have respected to remove the review requested by them ONLY because they have actually helped now but I will not keep quiet for people considering to place their children in this school, I do not want any more children to go through what my niece has due to this school.

If you're searching for a church to call home, this is a biblically sound church. They teach and expound the scriptures verse by verse so you can learn and grow in your faith. They do the same in the children's ministry, youth, and highschool ministries as well but at each of their comprehending levels. English services are 8: 30-10a and 10: 30a - 12p on Sundays and Wednesday @ 7p. Spanish services @ 8: 30a Sunday & Wednesday @ 7p. There's also sign language during the English services and Spanish translation available.

I grew up just under a 5 minute walk from Calvary chapel and have attended here since I was 5/6 years old. I’ve seen this church and it’s congregation go thru several phases of growth and change. I attended today with my son (first time) years after having joined the military and moving away from my home town. I am truly disturbed by Calvary chapels new phase. The decision for pastor terry to insult mask wearers in their face while COVID still is a part of our lives all the while ignoring CDC guidelines is beyond me. To say “their is no science in it” and to rhetorically ask if “we really think vaccines will save you? “ Has he ever heard of polio, hepatitis, or measles? We are in town Bc of the passing of a family member to COVID and to hear this is a spit in the face to me and the millions of families in this situation. He then goes on to say “ global warming is not here and people are worried Bc they think God is in the rocks and trees? ” What on earth is he talking about? He mentions he has to buy a heater in the winter and so it can’t be real. He then says to “pray for the cops because we are going to defund them”. Which is a gross lie and obviously biased due to his reserve duty. Comparing those who have been mistreated by law enforcement (which is why we are taking a second look at how well funded and militarized our police are) as “lawless”, him of all people should know his history better and frankly it’s embarssing. After all this he says “ some people just don’t get it” when talking about saving people and that apparently he thinks some people can’t be saved. What a terrible and dark way of thinking. I will not be returning and am very happy my wife and daughters did not attend. Pastor terry for someone who always says “ don’t be of this world “ you should really reconsider bringing your politically charged bias and overtones into a place of worship. But hey, at least he didn’t forget to mention that he wants us to buy a coffee and gifts from the church.
