The Latino bartender was so rude towards me. I was there on a Saturday. I am an African American that speaks some Spanish… and I believe he was offended by that. He micromanaged the amenities and fruit etc.at the bar. I asked for water and a straw… and he flinched his shoulders and smacked his lips with an attitude! Beware black folks!
But the quesadilla was amazing!

Great service, the guys at the front desk was nice and very knowledgeable, the rooms were really clean and it was only 10 mins away from the airport.

They advertise airport transportation, yet provide none. When I arrived at LAX and called the front desk for a shuttle pickup, they informed me that they "got rid of" the airport shuttle. That became a very expensive headache. Round-trip Uber cost nearly as much as the 1-night stay itself, and getting to the rideshare pickup at LAX requires catching a shuttle to an off-site location.

Book elsewhere if you can, somewhere that has transportation. Even if it's more expensive than Cambria, you'll likely save money on the transportation alone.

This hotel was selected for our family reunion. Would not recommend it at all. No one knew that the event was planned, although Jaimes had been the salesperson. Learned that she was leaving the job soon, which may have explained her incompetence. However, herdorves we ordered for a 4pm, which never came. No one knew how to use the equipment. The service was terrible. I will never use Choice hotels again. This was the first and last. Really, what type of company is this, it was a complete joke.

Arrived on Thursday 8/17 at 11 PM and were greeted by an unwelcoming receptionist. Our room was very nice, except if had painters tape holding the rug & door. I communicated with the maid service that I’d like the room cleaned after 10: 30 AM. We arrived last night 8/18 our room was NOT cleaned. I called the front desk, didn’t pick up the phone. I called a second time then after a long hold, i spoke to a male receptionist who said someone would bring up clean towels. It was midnight the towels never arrived. He did offer complimentary breakfast for the trouble. This morning 8/19 we called at 8: 40 am to ask clean towels again. The receptionist said there was no one to bring us towels because the housekeeping staff started at 9 am. The person, who came to the door was very unprofessional and addressed my husband as, “what di you need bro. ” Later, I went to the receptionist to get the breakfast voucher. I was greeted by another unwelcoming person who didn’t hardly looked up. She handed the voucher. I proceded to the restaurant area, where a poor frazzled, overworked young lady was trying to serve a room full of people by herself. I tried to order, but over 20 minutes of waiting we just left. This hotel needs to work on hiring more staff, training, and perhaps hire people who actually enjoy working there!

Horrible hotel. The entire place is an operational nightmare lacking proper management and an understanding of hospitality and good customer service from check-in to check-out. The Frontdesk people are rude and offensive and the General Manager is always Missing-In-Action and can never be found when you need a resolution to a problem such as rooms not being ready for check-in for over 2.5 hours because rooms hadn't been cleaned yet, unidentified people entering your rooms unannounced supposedly to take measurements, banquet food not being served on time and missing menu items, rooms not being cleaned even when requested, etc. I could go on with the slew of problems I experienced with this sham of a hotel, but I will stop at this point and say you should only stay here at your own risk. I had hoped for better especially for the price of the rooms. Buyer be aware.

Booked two rooms with 2 queen sized beds for 7 people, got told there was an upgrade where they switched us to a room with a couch and one bed for both rooms to sleep in with 7 people. This is not an “upgrade” in this hotel

My boyfriend and I just got back from staying 5 nights here, overall it was fine but we ran into a few issues.

Check in was great, we got a free room upgrade from a manager because we’re from the same area. He said we could come down for breakfast, so we did but the bar/kitchen lady was hesitant to give it to us because our room number wasn’t noted even though we told her we just received an upgrade. She sent us to the front desk lady and after explaining everything to her, she rolled her eyes and made it seem like such an inconvenience to get a (very mediocre) breakfast that we were simply offered.

As for the rooms, they were clean enough but could’ve used a little more detailing. The bathroom had no ventilation so everything was always wet because of the steam. The mirror was dripping and pooling up on the counter which then dripped all over the floor.

Check out was also fine until we actually left the hotel. Shortly after leaving, I got a text saying I was charged a smoking fee so we went back to ask about it and we ended up talking to Thomas, the same manager who checked us in. He said the cleaning manager smelled marijauna in the room, which is literally impossible because we don’t smoke. We didn’t get a refund because apparently they had to do some kind of “cleansing treatment” which was probably just spraying febreeze (as another review stated was their solution) to get the “smell” out.

There’s plenty of other hotels in the area that are probably more worth trying, these guys are just blatant liars, not worth the risk.

I am currently HERE at the hotel. We admittedly came at the wrong time to be in LA, during Taylor Swift concert (hence the hefty price of $325 for the night). I understand this is a 3 star hotel, so my expectations weren’t outrageously high. Upon arrival, the hotel room is cute. But the bedding does not fit the thick mattress…so they were all bunched up and about ready to snap back onto the mattress. One wrong move, bare mattress. No amount of muscle could get that down over the mattress-have they not heard about deep pocket fitted sheets? The bathroom had no soap, by the sink, and roughly a millimeter of body wash in the shower. I called the front desk who informed me housekeeping had gone home and they’d send someone as soon as they could. 20 min later I called to see if they were coming-she assured me they were coming now. He arrived a few minutes later (the guy who actually checked us in) with just the body wash. I said: we need soap too. He said: what? What do you mean? I’m like: soap to wash your hands, like at the sink? ! A bar of soap? He seemed slightly confused by that. He said he’d go see if they have any. Am I living in an alternate universe where people don’t know you need to wash your hands after you use the restroom? He did finally bring us two bars of soap. Kudos. Fast forward an hour later: we get a text message saying “Dear Valued Guest: the city of El Segundo will be turning off the water between 10am-12 pm the next day. I called the front desk to confirm this was true, and she said “yes”. Is there any compensation for this inconvenience? ! Absolutely not. She was rude, as I mentioned I couldn’t be the only one miffed about this. She assured me: yes, I was the only one. I spoke to 5 people in the elevator who had NO idea of this water scenario and were pissed. Tomorrow, people will be mid shower at 9: 55 and will get a shock when it stops. For the amount we paid: have at the minimum SOAP & properly made beds. I won’t be staying here ever again and won’t recommend it to anyone. Too much $$ for subpar accommodations.

The rooms are clean and minimal which is fine but they aren't anything to write home about at this price point. The thing that gets me is that breakfast isn't included. At tier of nightly rate I've never experienced a hotel that doesn't include the continental breakfast so this seems like a slap in the face and blatantly charging for every little thing. Making it worse, the continental breakfast here is exceptionally weak so it feels extra egregious that you have to pay for it.

Stayed one night. Conveniently close to the airport (LAX), it's roughly 15-20 min. It has a nice lobby atmosphere and the room was pleasant. I'm giving it a 3 star because the pool wasn't operating that day (we were hoping to whine down) and because we were told the day we checked in there would be complimentary breakfast, but unfortunately not for our "room'. We stayed in room 427 on the 4th floor. The shower had great water pressure, but I found it odd there was no shower door. I also noticed mold in between some of the white shower tiles.

When you hear someone having someone in your room as you're being part of a gathering no person should be in your room while you're gone. Then they made some claim saying that they were doing remodeling who does Remodeling on a Saturday morning and a motel. It pretty much seem like they were squirrels flying from tree to tree.

Our starting hotel for our motorcycle tour from LA to Miami, we stayed here for two nights. The hotel is not far from the airport and close to Eagle Rider Motocycle Rentals. The rooms are clean and functional. The breakfast was ok. We are a taxi ride from here to the Walk of Fame and the Santa Monica Pier. As a starting hotel for trips, the hotel is a good choice. It should also be mentioned that it is very quiet, since the main roads are not gone

Stayed for a quick getaway for a concert at Sofi and it’s so convenient it’s about a 15 minute drive from the hotel to Sofi. I love that the rooms had a good size room. You get a little living/den area in the room and it’s very nice and convenient. Hotel did have a restaurant and a little snack area. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but there are multiple options nearby. Very quiet rooms and friendly staff members.

That parking is $25/night and I was not able to find that information anywhere on their site, nor the Google page and had to call to find out is pretty shady. If you are going to charge so much for parking, which is pretty unexpected in that area, put the information online! I dont care of you have chromecast and a 56 inch TV.

Very clean hotel: close to LAX but without any noises, our room on the 6th floor was super quiet and large. We had to wait a littke bit twice at the front desk but nothing really bad.

The stay started roughly fair and only got worse as my booking went on. I had multiple problems, from the a/c breaking down multiple times to the water pressure dropping so low it was basically off. I have a video of the nonexistent water pressure. I ignored the stained floors and bedding, I ignored the room change inconvenience, but to top it off the staff, assistant manager and engineer, were VERY rude and I never yelled or cursed or said anything nasty, because that’s not my character. Ruined my trip completely

Hands down, the worst and most unprofessional hotel experience I've had. The hotel overbooked our rooms, so they sent me and my colleague to their partner hotel. After walking about 250m with luggage to the partner hotel, they ended up just sending us right back, claiming the Cambria staff made a mistake. Both hotel staff (Doubletree by Hilton and Cambria) were pointing fingers at each other.
The hotel staff were flustered and gave lots of attitude (my colleague and I were being reasonable, not raising voices, being sympathetic, etc.). Somehow, after much time and deliberation, they were able to "unblock" a room for my colleage.and then a room for me about 20 mins later. No explanation.
Charged in full.
Given sass.
Total wait time -2 hrs 15 mins including back and forth between hotels.
Other patrons were running into similar issues.
Highly recommend booking elsewhere.

Booked this hotel as I stayed in a cambria in Denver, which was wonderful. Arrived, and the room wasn't ready, but then it wasn't 3 pm. They readied the room pretty quickly, but It is not clean, there are large crumbs, toothpicks, and paper on the floor. It looked like it had not been vaccumed. As I am here for business, I went downstairs about 5: 45 to see if there was coffee. No coffee was told the restaurant opens later. Seriously, I have never been to a hotel that didn't at least have coffee.
