Camp Pendleton Main Gate

Very alert and very polite when you have gone in the wrong direction, very understanding also, just pre warning they will make you take a finger test to make sure you are Courant, and not a danger for others on the road l, also I must say very handsome soldiers.

Have not been by this place in years, but i have a brother who is stationed there goes by Eden. I hope all is well for him an his family. Wish i could hug you again lil brother.

I’ve gone to the commissary here a few times an it’s decent enough. Unfortunately, i can’t say the same about the personnel that’s stationed there. A few weeks ago, while i was at school a marine by the name of Staff Sergeant Kevin Linnersten uttered a racial slur towards me. I don’t understand why his words towards me were racially motivated but i did not know marines could talk to civilians that way. To be honest i thought our men in uniform believed in equality and justice.

I have been hearing this place has been treating their marines in basic training and the schooling. It's horrible condition. They make these young men do things like get hosed down to wake up, they have horrible bed or no bed at all. Not getting anything to eat. The list goes on and on. Prisoners get treated better than this. These young people go out for the military to help, the country to better themselves, and many other ways. So this the image we are supposed to have when we think of the military? I thought we were supposed think the military was good strong and proud. Not deployable conditions you wouldn't put a rat in.

Coming through the front gate at 6: 00AM and only one gate open. The traffic was backed up all the way down the 5 freeway. This causes a potential hazard for accidents to happen. This is unacceptable! The leadership should be called on the carpet and explain why this happens!

I hate going through the gate everytime I always feel like they might pull me over for no reason honestly. Not only that the marines there are annoying and never give me a greeting when I enter through the gate. But my girlfriend thought it was cool to pass through a military base for the first time when she was down here from Illinois

Huge! Once you make it past the grueling task of becoming a Marine, this is not a bad duty station. The Marines love beaches, so it makes sense to own a few.

FYI: If you accidentally turn into the gate here without credentials they actually have a legal right to search your vehicle and sometimes will do so intentionally taking a long time so don't be a fool and go up to the gate and waste their time & yours.its NOT an amusement park
