Camp Richardson Marina

Amateur hour of a marina. Had a boat rental scheduled for 8am. They told us to arrive by 7: 15. No one showed up until after 8am. Not on the water until after 9am.

We did the Rum Runnerboat tour on the lake.
Absolutely beautiful place to visit. A little disappointed when we took the boat ride. The captain never pointed out places or even said one word the entire boat ride. I was expecting a bit of a narrative on the history of things around the lake. A bit disappointed.
Drinks are expensive too but good.

We went on the Vikingsholm tour boat ride from here. Captain Jack picked us up at the very end of the pier by the Rum Runner. The boat holds 15 or so people but we lucked out and were the only two at that particular time. So Captain Jack pointed out some cool things sunk in the lake and gave history lessons on several locations around Emerald Bay. We also ended up being the only ones for that time touring Vikingsholm so had a private tour around the grounds. Then we had an hour to walk around before meeting the boat to take us back to the marina. It was a really great experience and Captain Jack made it better. Thank you!

Easy to rent things but very expensive. $45 for an hour rental of a double kayak. Probably worth the convenience however.

We did the boat tour to Vikingsholm which also included a guided tour of the castle. It was great! The only thing that could’ve been clearer was the email confirmation should have said that we needed to have $12 cash for parking. I kind of feel like if you pay $99 for a tour, they could toss in free parking. We literally had $12 cash on us so sadly we had nothing left to tip our boat driver, Jack, who was friendly and informative on the ride out and back.

This is the 3rd time I've booked a boat from this marina and it has always been great. The booking online is so easy. We have also rented SeaDoos and paddle boards here. We booked the 24' regal arch boat again for the 4th of July. When we were doing the inspection we noticed the front seat was broken. Don was absolutely awesome. He took care of us and we ended up with a bigger boat which was nice with 9 of us in our party. Don made sure we were taken care of so we could have a great day on the lake. I love how easy it is at that marina. We were out half the day and decided to come back for lunch at the Beacon Bar and Grill, also a great place for lunch. I just called the office and they sent a person out to taxi us in and dock the boat. After lunch we went back out for another loop through emerald bay and some afternoon tubing. I will definitely be back at Camp Richardson Marina when I want to take my family out on the Lake. I highly recommend renting a boat and seeing Lake Tahoe from the water it is awesome.

Signed up weeks in advance for the Rum Runner tour and drove 2+ hours round trip from Reno only to get a cancellation phone call less than 30min before boarding was supposed to begin. I understand things happen and they did not have enough folks sign up to run the tour, but I really wish they had done me the courtesy of giving a reasonable amount of notice so I could have adjusted my plans and not wasted so much time. The staff were nice enough and offered to re-schedule us or provide a full refund. The timing of the communications just really ruined it unfortunately.

They have a great setup here at the marina. Everyone was so nice. The beach is great for kayaking and the weather cooperated! We will be back!

We rented a 24' Regal Arch motorboat from the Camp Richardson Marina yesterday for our annual 4 hour lunch & tubing cruise with our kids and grandkids. As a retired business business owner I know that even in the best run of enterprises problems can occur, especially with a complex electro-mechanical system as a modern motorboat in a rental environment. We have utilized several different boat rental companies in the past, and have encountered the occasional problems that one might expect. However yesterday we chose Camp Richardson Marina for the first time and were very pleased we did. I have always believed that the value of an individual or a business is not "did everything go smoothly? ", but rather "what is the response if their is a problem? " Near the end of our voyage we did encounter a problem and I was extremely impressed with the response we received from Camp Richardson Marina Staff Members Greg and Courtney. In particular, Greg's customer service skills were outstanding. His professional response to our circumstances provided me with the confidence that I will now utilize Camp Richardson Marina exclusively in the coming years. Great service needs to be recognized and rewarded, and I hope to accomplish such with this well deserved review. Thank you Greg.

We used to keep our boat on buoy here. Crazy expensive. Wish I could buy it and make it affordable for average people so all can enjoy the most gorgeous lake on the planet.

Was able to take my husband on the Rum Runner cruise to Emerald Bay. The captain and crew were top notch. The weather was acceptable and the journey was memorable.

Was able to find a parking space, but was also there early. Easy to navigate, met some friends at the pier, their suggestion, enjoyed some time on the lake and was met by the manager of the property on my way back into the property. He was full of questions about who picked me up and who dropped me off, reminding me it was a private property. I'm not really sure what that was about. It is off-season, there are no restrooms. But the dock is well maintained, the beach was clean, and it was a landmark where I could meet friends.

Best cabin so full of amazing people felt welcome will go back so clean and perfect. Had a blast.

We visited the beach here it was beautiful. I stayed here before with my girlfriends. That trip was awesome.

I had 7 out of town guest come to Gardnerville for Candy Dance. I rented a pontoon boat from Camp Richardson in 2020 at the same time of year (end of September) with no problems and a very good experience. This year didnt go so well, (the rental was secured months in advance), As we were driving up to the lake for our Sunday morning rental I checked my email and was surprised to see our reservation cancelled. The reason given was we decided to close early for the season. That's great. They did try to reach me prior to Sunday but I hadn't checked my phone for emails or missed calls. I had 9 people to cook for and lots of things to do other than check my phone. We did wind up going to the lake for a picnic. I would not recommend renting from Camp Richardson as they arbitrarily close early for the Season unfortunately.

We wanted to hike down to Emerald Bay but got their too late for parking. We instead went to Camp Richardson where we rented a boat for 2 hours and toured the bay ourselves. The 21 foot boat had plenty of space for the four of us. We could have fit a family of 8 easily. The cruise to Emerald bay was easy. We circled the tea house a few time and took some great photos. We ended our trip with some speedy trips around the lake. It’s a little pricey but we had a blast.

We rented a boat from this Marina.staff was friendly and helpful (my husband forgot his glasses on the boat, they found them and held them for us)

Run Runner Cruise is a bit deceiving. The video implies free drinks and snacks and a token to go eat at the restaurant. There were no snacks and they charged for everything even water.

The restaurant is top end with the patio dinning in the sand. All the boat, PWC, kayak, petal boats, parasail and everything else.

Great place to be if your in Tahoe. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hreat family atmosphere
