Camp Roberts Northbound Rest Area reviews
8I just pulled over to make a few text messages and it looked great after it's long remodel that seemed to take 4-5 years? Very clean, well lit.
I haven’t seen one rest area open in this state I’m sure these don’t exist and California just lies that they exist.
This is a cute and clean rest stop!
It’s the last one for quite some time before you get to the next place. I definitely recommend stopping there.
Restrooms are exceptional!
They have vending machines so if you need a snack or something to drink.
If you need to charge your cars, there are charging spots for cars and trucks.
There’s a small dog walking area so if you need to take your dog to the restroom.
There’s a designated dog restroom.
You have the women’s and men’s restroom as well as a gender, neutral ADA wheelchair compliant restroom all restrooms have a baby changing stations.
The grounds are kept nice and neat.
The groundskeeper’s were actually cleaning, taking the trash out and so forth.
Overall, my experience at this rest stop is A+!
This is an amazing stop, and I have enjoyed stopping to stretch my legs, use the clean facilities, and get a snack to continue.
So why 1 star? It's been 'temporarily' closed for YEARS now, with no estimate on when it will reopen.
This is a vital rest stop for truckers and passenger cars, and keeping it closed is making the highway more dangerous due to tired drivers continuing 200 miles to the next available stop.
This is the only major rest stop I'm aware of that is so isolated, it's fine if there's another in 60 miles or so, but 3 hours away isn't acceptable.
Closed. Shame on Caltrans shutting multiple rest areas simultaneously on a single route, causing many motorists to drive on when tired or park on the side of the road.
Very clean and kept. Feels like my tax dollars are at work here as opposed to most other rest areas in California which are either close or in less than average condition. RARE to see California tax dollars actually doing something good
It’s November 2022. Skyscrapers and multibillion dollar stadiums and arenas are built faster than this project. Why is this rest stop STILL closed?
Really nice rest stop.to bad it's closed! I only know it's nice cause broke done in RV right in front but had wait on freeway for tow so my dogs and I had whole place to ourselves while waiting for tow. Hope next time it's open as none of rest stops from Montecito to Salinas are open?
