Cans Plus Recycling reviews
6Workers are rude and I had one bad with maybe 15 bottles to sort out. Told me I had to leave and sitter it out meanwhile they let the two cars next to me sort out plenty of bags. Will never return ever again.
The workers and in particular the owner who is there often are very rude. The owner will come outside and get in your face and argue with you over having 1 can in 2000 bottles. I also have seen cars with license plates from other states and no one does anything about it, which is supposedly not allowed.
I took 1 bag of crushed cans and 2 plastic ones to menlo recycling and they gave me 37.00 dollars here I took the same thing but with half a bag more of crushed cans than what I took with menlo recycling and they gave me 25.00
It really is not a good place to recycle.
Used to be the only recycling place. I would go to up until recently. All things have changed ….
Now they Always close early, have poor customer service.
Rude employees
Signs that say don’t sort on premises, but they allow sorting to happen anyway to if you sort at home you get stuck waiting still
Not sure what led to the downfall of this place, but it sure isn’t what it used to be
They won't let you separate on premise so people do it right in the street in front of the business. Not a good look.
Had three workers come up to me at the same time to scold me for not knowing a rule that was implemented. I haven't been to a recycling yard in two years and my first response I get is being ganged up on by three workers and being told to go to target.
So I turned in my recycling card and I Will go somewhere else.
The recycling yard was empty it was us and one other person', two out of the three workers stood there' watching everything we did. Not a good experience.
Considering I also got two entirely different answers as to the no sorting thing.
1x California state rules
2x since there's no (other) people here it makes the business move faster.
The issue is I totally would have sorted them if I knew of this rule before fing driving all the way down there.but it's how the workers presented themselves.
Response to owners response.
Npc responses.
(limited parking space)
The yard was empty
(Helpes move customers quickly).
The yard was empty
Even your employees acknowledged this.
My family and I have used Cans Plus for years for all of our recycling needs. Today, I was turned away for aluminum metal by two incompetent workers that didn’t bother to confirm the type of metal it was. I drove away and my gut told me to call the office to triple confirm. I was helped by Tony, whom personally stepped outside the office to confirm the type of material and assisted me with such professionalism and kindness! He was both informative and apologetic. He even hauled the material away for me without hesitation. Tony turned my one unpleasant experience to a pleasant one. Thank you again!
