Capistrano Park reviews
14We met the friendliest boy with his dog and father. We would love to come back again soon. The bathrooms were easily accessible, close to the parking lot and playground.
Nice park. Good tennis courts. I wish the lights were on later.
Update: Awesome park staff. They can’t make the lights stay on later due to park closure time but they have adjusted the times to come on earlier with the changing darkness. They really take park requests seriously and they do an excellent job of maintaining this park!
We've been having family get togethers at this park for years never had a problem. The kids enjoy the playground an the adults the baseball park.
Great park. Playground for kids, poles for volleyball nets, and great picnic areas. Get there early one weekends to snag your spot. The park also has restrooms.
ITS AMAZING OMGG I have always loved this park since I was a child, there was a car who crashed into the front metal gate in front of the park on July 3rd and took off really quickly so we couldn't get a picture. All I know is that it's a grey or black truck possibly a ram leaving glass from the headlight and antenna from his car
This neighborhood is full of very aggressive Satanists. As soon as I get there, they show up with their typical intimidating gestures!
Great park. Area gated for baseball and can be used for dogs. Also there is an area for playing tennis. It's clean and big.
This is one of the best parks in the North of SD. You can bring your dog, and have a fantastic time there!
Plenty of running room for kids, good playground, even play area for toddlers. Basketball court, baseball field. Covered and uncovered picnic areas. Charcoal grills. Restrooms. Plenty of benches spaced out all around
Dog parks are hard to find in this area. Even though this isn't listed as a dog park, we always take our fur baby here to get a good run in the enclosed baseball field when no games are playing. Tried going to the dog park that somehow is in Camp Pendleton, but of course, it's not open to the general public. So this is our go to place. Love this quiet park. Just make sure that if you go, clean up after your pets. It's not fun stepping on grass bombs when playing ball.
This is a small park but great if you want to do softball/baseball, meet with other dogs or picnic. Dogs gather in the small baseball triangle which is enclosed every afternoon-early evening. They also have picnic areas and shade and playground. It’s not a large park but it’s a nice one!
A bit on the smaller size this hidden gem provides loads of shade via large mature trees and refreshing cool coastal breezes. Amenities include bathrooms, paved parking, playground equipment, tennis courts, 2 baseball fields, picnic tables, benches and lots of grass. Capistrano Park is a great place to enjoy a warm summèr day!
This Park is where Cap Town residents gather to celebrate. If you don't know Cap Town, you don't need to know about it's park. (Stay on your side of the bridge:)
Capistrano Park was the second park in Oceanside we have been to that had this cute “Play Express” train. My son also loved driving the fire truck. We were the only ones on the playground all morning but that might have been because it was overcast and a little misty. There was a fair share of kids on the baseball fields though.
