I thought this place was absolutely marvelous. The service was amazing. The drinks were made perfectly. I will make it a point to visit every time I’m in town

The appetizers were very good. I would recommend the bone marrow and sautéed shrimp.

The entrées were exceptional as well. Great selection of pastas, pizzas, salads, main dishes and steak. Great date spot if you're looking for fine dining.

Chicken was very dry. Had to ask for food additives quite frequently. Prices were expensive

Absolutely wonderful in every respect. The pasta dishes especially are complex and inventive. Even the free appetizer (bread) is extraordinary.

Very nice restaurant. Very cute, and the atmosphere was delightful, almost like it's a small town. They were quite understaffed, though, but isn't everyone? The prices are.steep, but I guess that's normal these days. I got the rainbow trout and it was scrumptious. The potatoes as a side were really good too. Small dish yet very filling. House bread was very good as well, I love places that give bread for free.

Horrible service. 40 min to get soup.and the waitress forgot we put a soup order in. The main courses came out before the salads. The man bussing the tables had more hustle and concern than our waitress.

This place was amazing. Great food, great service and a wonderful setting to mark a special event. With temperatures in the upper 90s, we were initially upset that our reservation preference for indoors was not honored, but with the patio misters going it was fine to be outside. Plus it made for good people watching. Everything we ordered, from appetizers to entrees, was delicious. Stand outs were the ahi tuna tartare, crab cakes, rainbow trout and the spicy angel hair pasta that seemed Thai influenced. Their pastry chef had made an almond plum tart that was to die for, as good as any in Europe. I only wished that the server had warned us that we had ordered too much. The portions are very generous; pasta dishes can easily be shared by 2 people. It did make for tasty leftovers.

This is our favorite restaurant in town. The wait staff are incredible and the food is even better. We've never had a bad meal here. Their french onion soup is one of the best. Make sure to make a reservation and sit out on the terrace so you can enjoy State Street while you eat.

Great food.great ambience.get the crab cakes and prosciutto. Perfect for a date night. A fancy good time

The hostess (in a huffy tone after I told her we didn’t have a res) offered my date and I space at the bar or a 30+ minute wait for a table. In the less than one minute it took to confer with my date and decide together that we were too hungry to wait 30+ minutes, we came back to her with our decision to take the seating at the bar. When we did, I witnessed her giving the last bar seats to the next couple in line. The hostess never bothered to check back in with us, or to apologize. We both felt that this was such unfair treatment and poor customer service that we decided against waiting for a table in fear of experiencing a further disappointing experience. I have always had a great experience at this restaurant, so I am very hopeful that this was a one time thing.

Dear Caprice Cafe: Train your hostesses better manners, and highlight customer service. Showing up without a reservation is not the chance for them to display annoyance, and make your customers feel like idiots for being spontaneous.

Tasty food, solid service, good drink selection. The outdoor patio on State Street is the ideal spot to enjoy the view of downtown while eating.

I am giving my review one star because the beginning was so completely unwelcoming and, I would even say hostile, that we were shocked. Upon arrival- 20 minutes ahead of our luncheon reservation, we were told by a male host that our reservation could not be located and it wasn’t clear if we would be seated at all. We then showed our emailed confirmation to the hostess (a young woman with braided blond hair) and were told, with little interest and, I would say even veiled hostility, on her part, that it would be a few minutes. Over forty minutes later, she finally and very reluctantly seated us. Her demeanor, in the process, was surely to the point of rudeness. She did not apologize for our wait and in no way demonstrated an ounce of hospitality. Once seated all changed. And this part deserves all possible stars. Our server, Alexis (sp?) couldn’t have been more delightful. The food was delicious and her service exceptional.
I am writing this lengthy review because we have been Caprice customers for years and, while we understand that Friday lunch is busy and the entrance chronically congested, we were shocked and disappointed to be treated so poorly. We feel obliged to let Chris and the management know how badly the frontline staff let them down.

After being burned by Olive and Citris for a 90th birthday party. (They closed the resturant with out letting us know they were cancelling) We called Capice Cafe very last minute and they accomidated all 13 of us and saved our birthday party. Food and drinks were amazing. Big shoutout to our server Amy who saved the day. THANK YOU!

Food is ok, pasta with shrimp a bit bland and shrimp overcooked. Ahi tuna also no flavor, martinis super small but tasty, creme brulee too liquidity.anyway I prob would only go back for a drink maybe since food is not tasty at all, mediocre at best. Service was slow too.

It was a good experience. The ambience is very quiet and romantic and the food was really good I had the rainbow trout and the bone marrow.

The food was alright. The wait time for even drinks were very long for a slower afternoon. We also didn’t get bread until he asked for some. We got 4 pieces for 8 people, when asking for more they said the kitchen was closed. Kind of a bummer. Right in downtown so great location to head to the next spot.

Not worth it. Food was over cook not as requested and waited 2 h for food had to reorder drinks. The food Is over hype you got better service in the other restaurant in the area i wanted to leave.

Food was very good. Service very slow so that's why 4 stars. We were only 1 of 3 tables occupied in the restaurant
