Caribbean Taste reviews
15We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. We loved the great vibes and the meals. The waiters are very attentive. I’m glad we ultimately managed to visit here.
First time going here, they had delicious food, great service and a plentiful meal (for a big family). We ordered a large goat curry (12.50 for large), ox tail, and jerk chicken.
Also we ordered the patty (beef and chicken) it was delicious. The patty is like an breaded empanada with meat inside.
A lot of people were coming in ordering takeout, and also a few people eating inside.
Everything came out great and we enjoyed our meal (even had leftovers).
The environment is what's expected on Imperial Ave. But the friendly service and delicious food is what gave this review 5 stars!
The customer service is constantly speedy, lovely ambience, very welcoming staff members. I will visit again when I arrive nearby.
The service is constantly swift, awesome character, nice staff. Will come back again when I am here.
I've been coming to this place for a while and can't believe I haven't written a review. The owner, Peter is always friendly and welcoming. The food is cooked fresh and delicious. My daughter and I have tried the oxtail with rice and peas, curry goat with rice and peas, and all three of the chicken, beef and vegetable patties. Their drink selection is good as well - Ting, Cola Champagne, etc. They also carry bun and cheese for Easter.
I'm already a regular here and will continue to be!
Don't expect this place to be open during their posted business hours. Second time I've gone out of my way to come here and they're been closed.
They are amaaaaaazing. I love them with all my heart and soul. Lol. I hope they never retire. Seriously though their food is great and not expensive.
Great casual place. Lot of people getting take-away, but it was great to eat in too. Loved the curry goat, and plentiful portions.
Really love the food. However, when we visited the only accepted cash and the air conditioner was a fan. We were there during the summer and it was very uncomfortable inside. I had the goat my wife had the jerk chicken and both were wonderfully cooked and done. We've been back since then but we do it during the winter when it's cooler
Simply delicious! Oxtails was on point. Beans and Rice, amazing! Veggies, yummy! And my pineapple ginger, refreshing! I will be back!
Had the jerk chicken, when they say comfort food, this is it. Man I was in my glory, everything was delicious. I enjoyed everything but my favorite was the vegetables, a cabbage mix. I will go back many times over.
This place had the best jerk chicken and rice! The people working are so friendly. Really good food!
Some of the best flavors of any restaurant I've had in San Diego. Extremely tender meat, friendly staff, and good portions.
Their food is yummy! It tastes authentic! I spent years in the east coast having Jamaican food. 7 was delighted to have some here in Southern California
The food is absolutely tasty and addicting. Yes, it is that good. Make sure to get the oxtail plate.
