It's a beautiful & serene place where you can meditate. And the killer views of the ocean makes me appreciate the wonderful things that God created for us.

Nice little peaceful escape tucked away from the highway. Has nice views of the ocean and the chapel is very calming. The public area isn't particularly large so there isn't a lot of space to walk, but this monastery is still worth a visit.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. And when you're stepping out, the view to the ocean is just so beautiful.

Serene.quiet.peaceful.love the gardens there. Go inside and request a prayer for family, friend in need or for the "World" from the Carmelite Nuns and don't forget to make a donation.

It was nice to visit this place. It would have been nicer if it was open to public.but unfortunately, because of the pandemic it is closed. Still a nice visit.

It was closed when we came to visit, but we stayed for awhile because the grounds are so lovely and you can enjoy the ocean while sitting on tree shrouded benches among plants, flowers, and garden statuaries. A sign informs visitors that the nuns are cloistered here. Beautiful scenery and gardens. I wish we could have seen inside the the cathedral, but will return another time in the future. It's located off Hwy. 1 on the way to Big Sur.
