Carmelo Park

Brought Mom to Carmelo Park in Monterey after a year at their sister location, Songbird in Toro Park near Salinas. She has dementia with tendencies to wander, andd eventually became a handful for Songbird. After a year, Matt and Karie suggested she be moved to their Carmelo Park care home, as it has more staff and a coded entry. Mom has been at Carmelo for the past three years, under the attention and care of a warm and friendly staff, overseen by Jennifer who has decades of experience in elder care. Carmelo has recently undergone an interior renovation with a welcoming nautical theme, making the place lighter and quite charming. The cheerful staff provides daily activities, monthly birthday celebrations and a few parties throughout the year, which family and friends are also invited to (now that Covid has calmed down). Matt and Karie are intimately involved with their care home business and have been very helpful to my sister and I these past few years; a nice break from the invisible leadership that many large corporate entities seem to have these days. I highly recommend Carmelo Park, and their other Salinas location Songbird, as a peace of mind location for your loved one (s).
