Carter Maurer, MD - Sharp Rees-Stealy Frost Street

Dr Carter Maurer performed a total replacement of my left hip on 3/30/2017 and after two days of receiving great care at Sharp Coronado Hospital I was sent home to recover. My right hip was almost as bad as my left prior to my first surgery but the replacement of my left hip improved the right so much I was able to stop using my cane for about nine months. I am at home recovering at home now after Dr Maurer worked his magic on my right hip on 5/23/2018 and receiving another two days of great care at Sharp Coronado Hospital. Dr Maurer has been fantastic to work with from my initial visit in 2016, he is a highly skilled and confident surgeon and very good at controlling pain. Dr Maurer is a pleasure to know as a person as I feel better just being with him as his joy in the work he does and genuine care for you as a person shines through. If you or someone you know is having problems with their joints I highly recommend Dr Carter Maurer and his care partners at SHARP. My only regret is that I waited too long to have my first replacement surgery as I was in a lot of pain and having lots of trouble living my daily life. I'm pleased to say that I avoided that mistake on my right hip and I am excited about the better life I will have for many years thanks to Dr Carter Maurer and his team at SHARP.
