Fairground Caruthers Fair reviews
18Love to watch all the young future farmers train their sheep, cows and pigs and receiving ribbons for all their hard work and patience with their animals. Like the food and all the building's with projects. Great place to enjoy the country atmosphere
The Caruthers Fair is the place to be! We really enjoyed the live music and all the varieties of food. It was really happening!
Extremely crowded. Food smelled amazing but the lines were about an hour wait so we ended up leaving.
The fair was clean, food in the church section was great, bathrooms were clean, great live music (a bit loud, buy great) 5.00 parking and wonderful displays in the industrial arts exhibits. Warmed my heart to see the excellent needlepoint/stitchery work. Very much worth the drive from Fresno. We attended on Thursday 4: 00 to 7: 30 pm.
Very friendly and pleasant staff made our experience very enjoyable and pleasant. Definitely the most wonderful place to visit.
Hometown fairgrounds come join us and have a blast always showing new vehicles and sometimes farm equipment vendors with all different kinds of stuff to enjoy whether it be home decor or small snack.
Located about a half hour south of Fresno in the middle of the greatest agricultural area in the world, the Caruthers Fair is the largest free gate fair in CA. Lots of food choices, live music, exhibits and friendly people - a slice of California mostly unseen in the media. Highly recommend!
Great food YUM, appreciated the addition of line managers ensuring people didn't cut lines. Seems as if the wonderful Caruthers Fair has outgrowing it's capacity. Wait times for rides averaged about 2hrs, we'll rethink purchasing bracelets that are only good until 9pm we spent $50 per/bracelet but was only able to get on 4 rides due to long wait times in lines. But all in all we had a good time
We grew up here live in Fresno. They make you feel at home with food and entertainment
Only this year the teriyaki chicken was salty over fried. Hopefully next year they will be better.
We had fun besides that they only took cash to purchase tickets our visit was fun and a bit hot lol Can't wait to visit again, it has been years for us
Checked hours online. Went to the fair about noon on Thursday with children since they were on break. Got there and the rides were closed till 4. There wasn't anyone in the ticket booth. We ate, walked around the booths and exhibits and left. Wish the hours were clear. My children were looking forward to it. Only reason for the couple stars I did give is because the food was open so we could support some local churches and organizations.
I've been coming here since I was a kids now I get to share it with my kids. We love it. We always have a good time. The food is always amazing. Its kept us coming back every year and definitely for years to come. Best little fair there is.
Went with a friend to watch the motorcycle races. Had a good time friendly people, love the animals
This fair is heavily impacted. It gets elbow to elbow. The prices for tickets is one the higher end. $20 gets you 10 tickets. Compared to other fairs, this one is pricey. The line for rides was excruciating, 1 hour and 30 minutes for a popular ride. We spent most of the time in line. Food lines were equally impacted. Parking was hard to find. Residents were asking upwards $20 to park on their yards. This fair requires patience!
Yes to Fair smaller than the one in Fresno but it had all the good eats I really enjoyed it and I had extra money because I didn't have to pay to go inside
I've never been to the Fair but the grounds are pretty nice. Doing an event (Quinceanera) in one of the buildings.
A beautiful small town experience!
A first rate fair and free admission. So affordable and family friendly. Great food and entertainment
Havent been to the Caruthers Fair in about 10 years or more. Its still the same small, free admission fair that its always been, but man oh man, the crowds. Considering that, it was a relaxed family atmosphere. Nice getaway for me and my son, just to get a taste of the fair scene again, after everything being closed last year.
