Had a delicious filet and garlic mashed potatoes. Our server, Brandon was
a sweetheart.

The Chicago Rib Eye steak we had was cooked and seasoned very well. The wedge salad was spot on and with our order correct on the second try, but the waitress caught it before bringing it out. She was hustling the whole time and couldn't say anything bad about the service. It was a bit slower due to lack of other servers, but she made up for most of the time by her hustle. However, the restroom smell is so bad when you walk in that it is a huge turn-off and the main reason we don't visit more often. The bartender made the old fashioned like they did back in the day, not his fault, but times have changed, and so have steakhouse drinks. Don't muddle the cherry and orange anymore, please. The creme brulee had no vanilla bean in it like 99% of all others do. It tasted old and definitely not made that day.

Great food. Great service. One of the best rib eyes I've had in a long time. Cool atmosphere.

We made it for the early bird special. Our server, Alex, was right on top of things and responded promptly to our requests.

Honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had, so much flavor. They brought me a side of their delicious peppercorn sauce with my food because I really wanted the sauce from a different steak and they said I could have it with which ever steak I wanted. Fluffiest, creamy mashed potatoes. Everything was good and cooked perfectly to my liking

You must be aware that the restaurant is located just next to a retirement residence, so the majority of the customers are around 80 years old. When we arrived last Saturday an old guy was leaving and he was wearing JUST a t-shirt with not even underwear. The meat is very good, a little bit stingy on the sides, but the prices are very low compared to other steak houses. Their cocktails aren't so good but they have a good selection of Californian wine.

I was able to spend an elegant time with a luxurious appearance and interior. I had prime rib, but I was very satisfied with the volume that was thick, soft, and satisfying to eat. If there is another opportunity, I would like to use it.

In 2023, I went again. We recommend the Fillet Mignon, which has less fat but still has a good taste, so you can eat it until the end without getting tired of it. The side potatoes were also delicious and satisfying.

Carvers has a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Clean and perfectly lit for that rustic steak and chop restaurant feel. The service was excellent, server was polite, knowledgeable, and perceptive to our parties needs. My daughter got the 14 oz ribeye and said it was great. I ordered the fillet mignon with garlic mashed and a Cesar salad. All perfectly prepared portions with the steak being flavorful and extremely tender. The drinks were tasty and generously poured. Only about 50 bucks a person we will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is quite good, and when I entered the room, I was out of place with only candle light. It was a great night to eat and drink to my heart's content because it was paid for by the company. Since it is a high-end steak house, what is the menu? There are some items that cannot be ordered separately, which is quite a lot for Japanese people. "I thought I had saved and ordered, but I was full. " "I don't know the price, it might cost $150 per person. "

Call for a reservation! You can choose a seat in the open lounge right away. You have access to the same menu, but it is a louder environment. The food was perfect! Very flavorful!

Carvers is always pleasant. Atmosphere is nice, servers are attentive. The food is prepared just as you request.

If you're into steak houses, this is a great spot. It is casual dining, with a luxury feel. You could dress up really nice or in jeans and not feel out of place here

I always order the ribeye here, so I can't speak for the other food, but they get the steak right. I like mine medium rare and they never disappoint. The beef seems more flavorful here as well. I don't really know if they source any special type of beef, but it is beefy, rich and buttery. It's a great darn steak.

The desserts are delicious as well. I recommend the mud pie, it's OMG delicious.

The service is ALWAYS top-notch. Definitely worth a visit.

I have been here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed, arguable the best steak house in San Diego County.

The worst restaurant I have been to in quite a while. Poor quality cut of meat that was served blood-rare/cold inside when I ordered it medium. Terrible mashed potatoes. Dollar store level Cesar salad. Rude server and management. It's a hangout spot for ancient people from the retirement homes in Poway in RB. I would avoid this place if at all possible. 1/5

I searched the area to find the best steak house in the Rancho Bernardo area. We were having a rehearsal dinner and wanted it to be perfect. I connected with David the GM and he was beyond helpful. We did a dry run to test and sample the food. Filet, prime rib, appetizers, deserts and even drinks. All were amazing just like their reviews. My wife wanted to go a few hours early and decorate with flowers and special touches. David even customized a menu for us.
The night of the event went extremely smooth. The service was on point. Quick and efficient. Food was outstanding and everyone was impressed. I can't thank David and his team enough for the outstanding time we all had. 10 out if 10 on this review.

I ran into this place by chance but it’s highly recommendable. It’s a cozy place with delicious food at a fair price

Take a step back in time with a cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, full course meal, tender filet and prime rib. Wine and Martini tasted delicious. Celebrated a birthday with a bread pudding cake complements of the house. I enjoyed spending my time and money at Carvers. Thanks
