17My favorite restaurant in Southern California! Great environment with entertaining settings. Amazing food!
Great food, awesome atmosphere, amazing wait, staff! My family will definitely visit again once back in California. Loved it!
This restaurant has been a part of my life for a very long time. I'm originally from AZ and have been an SD resident for 15 years, I used to come to this restaurant specifically almost every time I visited (which was all too often.) Amazing atmosphere on the patio, one of the most comfortable and beautiful settings to enjoy a meal (would not recommend dining inside.) Then we get to the food, albeit a bit pricey for San Diego, the food is amazing and worth the premium to enjoy a dining experience here. Parking here is a whole different story, be prepared to squeeze in an extremely tight spot (if you can find one available) and unload your party from your car prior to parking, the spots are just too tight and the lot is very cramped as a whole.
We got the 2 taco combo, chili reano enchilada xombo and steak and eggs. Get the Cadillac Margarita if your having a drink. The chips and salsa was so fresh. We got the Guacamole De enchiladas and the number 3. Great food and large portions.
A great, consistent spot. Always a great meal and quality service. They get you seated quickly even during a busy rush, and even allow many of their guests to stay in the restaurant after close to finish their meals. The portions are big, and filling. Their margaritas are super yummy. The blended peach margarita has been a personal favorite. The one thing I was not blown away by is there salsa. They’re heavily lacking in flavor and salt. But other than that, everything we tasted and drank was delicious!
Everything was wonderful. We had a large group. Our server was great, food was great and the atmosphere was nice. We were seated in the area where they seat all large parties so it was very loud. In the future we will wait for a table outside.
A classic charm. Wonderful food, atmosphere, entertainment, and staff. Every time I am close to Old Town, I have to stop by.
My first time trying casa Guadalajara ceviche lack flavor and freshness I oder enchiladas de mole they had no flavor my mom had the carnitas were dry I'm very disappointed after hearing great things and everything was bad what a let down
My family comes here every time we visit San Diego from out of state! Our favorite Mexican food with excellent chips/salsa!
It’s embarrassing to review this since it forces me to admit that I actually ate here. Everything on the menu tastes the same. Huge disgusting plates of low quality food to please the hungry hoards of tourists. It’s a travesty and certainly not authentic Mexican food. Avoid at all cost.
Most of the times there's a wait time, but it's never as long as they say it will be, your table will be ready fast. The food is great, service is great, they have a live mariachi, a bar, nice place for the family, meetings, couples, or.
Enjoy.
Excellent Mexican food, friendly staff and convenient location near Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
Do not go anywhere else!
The absolute, hands-down, the best authentic Mexican food restaurant in San Diego! The salsa was off the chain good!
You could tell the chips were homemade. The food was prepared fresh when ordered. I had the chicken Burrito and beef enchilada, and my husband ordered the fish tacos, and both entrees were fresh and delicious.
The few days we've been here in San Diego, we have searched several restaurants to find a decent margarita. Well, we found it here at Casa Quadalajara. Their margaritas were very good and they have the best virgin Pina Colada I've had in a long time!
The service was excellent! Very friendly atmosphere, ambiance, and decor was great! I highly recommend this restaurant for true authentic Mexican food.
My husband loves Mexican restaurants and their food because their servers don't mess around.you get hot, fresh, delicious food without having to wait forever for your food, great service, and prices are extremely inexpensive. They get you in and out!
Mexican restaurant with a bar. Has happy hour on weekdays from 3 p.m. To 6 p.m. The combination plate with chile relleno, served with refried beans and Spanish rice, is delicious. Served with complimentary tortilla chips and salsa.
Piña colada was nice and smooth. Portions are huge and you'll be taking leftovers with you. Great atmosphere and staff was really sweet and attentive.
I sat outside on a nice 60 degree day in January. The patio is so colorful and the food was exceptional. So delicious! Try the Pollo en Mole Pipian de Pepita Verde - you won't regret it!
The patio was perfect for dining in a lovely Friday evening. The food was very good, particularly the guacamole, and the service was good. Recommend dining outside as inside can be quite loud.
