Casa Reveles Restaurant reviews
16 We had the BEST food & BEST service! Thought our server was the owner based on his welcoming us so warmly & attention he paid to every detail, then he answered the phone and said he was talking to his boss.
Lucky owner! Thank you for great experience! Highly recommend
Pretty solid Mexican. I ordered the fajitas which were pretty good, but the mole was too salty. Still ate the whole thing, so, still very good.
Bonus: the coffee was outstanding!
Easy to walk past. Don’t! Food and prices are commendable and Victor is the best host anywhere.
Victor Cruz is hands down the best server in San Diego. The food is great and I highly recommend this restaurant. The Margaritas are off the hook!
Very enjoyable meal from the plate to staff as well as the atmosphere.
P.s. Victor was a pleasure tonight! Thank you
First time coming here. Honestly we went for dinner because we had a coupon from the high school football fundraiser book we purchased, but we're glad we did because everything was great. Service was fantasticfast and food was great. Our waiter Victor was very friendly and so nice. We asked for recommendations and we gave us a few and explained why he liked them which I thought was very helpful. I had the chile verde plate. I really liked it and so did my husband. It was very filling.
Great service fro the staff, especially Victor. Food is unique and savory. Not your average Mexican restaurant.
Stopped by Casa Reveles today for Cinco De Mayo. Victor our waiter and the rest of the staff were quite friendly and attentive besides professional in their customer service. My wife had a Don Julio Blanco/soda with limes and we tried their homemade guacamole. We also both ordered the enchiladas suizas which were tasty and served hot ready for our appetites. Great lil place with a wide array of Mexican dishes and a great selection of tequilla and margaritas.
Recommended.
I only write reviews when I get really great or horrible service. I think the service provided by Victor made the food taste much better than it probably was, so this rating was for the overall experience. The food I ordered was great! I had a shrimp cocktail and ceviche tostadas. I’m really picky about how they are made and these were pretty good; they were fresh and did not taste or smell fishy. My husband had the pork chile verde and wasn’t too crazy about it; most of the food isn’t at the spice level we’d prefer but it’s still good. My daughter had the chicken soup and enjoyed it. The jalapeño margaritas caught my eye and it was one of the best I’ve had; I had to order a second one:) We also ordered their churros…so good! Make sure to get the guacamole, carrots, chips, and salsa (although I wish it was spicer).
Great tasting Mexican food. Very friendly service. Excellent churros! Make this a stop if you're ever in Ramona. They really know how to make you feel welcomed.
Great experience here. The food was good. The service was excellent! Please stop in here if you are in the area. This is a local gem. You won't be disappointed.
Haven't been here in over 8 years. The service was a bit slow but the food was much better than I remembered. Well worth the slightly longer wait.
Friendly service, friendly service, friendly service! Victor provides the best recommendations and is on top of it all. He makes margaritas to be spectacular! And then there's the food - Sergio's quesadilla, shrimp diablo, molcajete, carne asada plate, the soups, all fresh. You can't go wrong. Unless you are really hungry, share an appetizer and plate to save room for a churro.
Victor waited on my family last night. If I owned a restaurant, I would want him to be my head waiter. This was only my second time coming to this restaurant, and unfortunately it will be my last. I hope victor is not the owner. Victor has the skill to get a job anywhere.
The restaurant was incredibly hot. There is no a/c. We powered through that. The back of the house is very dirty. I had to take my little girl to the bathroom and I was totally repulsed. To top it off, all of our food was spoiled. The guacamole was fizzy like it had been in the sun. My daughter grabbed a mouth full from a side of cheese and barfed it up, the sour cream was spoiled, and the meat was too. I paid for soft drinks because I felt pity on the place that is clearly struggling. Anywhere else, I would have been so upset that I probably would have started breaking things.
Victor went to talk to the cook. At first, I wanted to join in and make the chef eat what he plated. I’m glad I didn’t. I’m a kinder, gentler person than I was when I was younger. The folks at the table around the corner from us were regulars and they asked us if we noticed anything wrong with the food. We were all disappointed.
I genuinely hope this place gets their act together!
Great customer service but the food quality I'm my opinion not so great i ordered ceviche and street tacos and the ceviche was bland and over salted the meat on my tacos seemed old and very cold very disappointing.
