Caspar Beach RV Park & Campground reviews
24This was the quietest RV camp site we have ever stayed at! The grounds were VERY clean and the staff was friendly. The beach was right across the street and also very clean. There was plenty to do, for families. Also had an arcade and pool table. Small store had a good amount of stuff with reasonable prices. If there was a negative.the spaces were very close together. I will be going back!
I rented an RV and it was absolutely fantastic walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes it's dog friendly there's a store with everything you need there's a fish cleaning station there showers that are coin operated there's washers and dryers best vacation I've had in a long time I would highly recommend this place
Did a mid-week September stop-in with no reservation and easily got a site.check in staff were very friendly. Sites are very close to one another but being there mid week this was not an issue for us. Location is amazing, as the beach is just across the road and is one of the most beautiful mellow beaches we've been to in northern California. Highly recommended for paddle boarding, swimming and family.
What an amazing place. The general store has everything you need, the staff is super friendly. The facilities are very clean and private. Amazing hiking trails in walking distance. The beach is right across the way. Loved our stay.
It was perfect. I do understand why RV campers may not like it with the tight spots. But, we tent camps. Huge sites, super friendly staff. Close to everything. I would definitely stay here many times again. The tent shows fell like you're in the jungle! Thank you staff for such a clean, pleasant place to stay!
This was the worst experience we have ever had at a campground! They crammed us in some with 2 rigs per site. (see photo) The bathrooms/ showers were absolutely filthy and to make matters worse they charged $ to use the showers. The floor was covered with mud and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned for quite a while. We were booked for 3 nights but left a day early losing the money we had paid for the night. We were unable to tolerate the crowded, dirty conditions.
Loved the location. Camped in June 2019. This park has a sweet location just across the street from a nice cove. The park has made use of every square inch which is to say it is very tight. Sites are so narrow that the picnic bench has to be behind the rig. Most cars jut out into the road. No vegetation between sites, but the perimeter of the camp has beautiful trees. We had a back-in site with dense trees and a small creek right behind the site. Again, they've made the most of a limited space and everything flows and things fit even though its tight.
A few things don't work well. The internet was poor and iffy. The laundry was closed. But overall, the park was clean and well-maintained.
It is minutes from forest land, state parks, Fort bragg, or Mendocino. Great base for the Mendocino coast! Small store is a real convenience.
Love it here. Best vacation spot for our dogs. They love running free along the ocean
The only bad thing is the showers. You have to pay for them and you are lucky to get warm water.
Love this little RV park, need to book early because apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so!
Friendly staff, cool little store, close to the beach. You might feel it’s a little cramped, but really how much time do you spend in your RV? Lots to do and see, North and South, or just enjoy the beach!
Best place ever! Have been coming for 20+ years. Best service, best store, best location, best employees, best manager!
Great location and handy walking or biking distance to the Lighthouse and Russian Gulch State Park. The Lighthouse is very worthwhile - check out the residence and aquarium building too. Mendocino is a good walk, 22 kms return. The park has a good laundry, showers and toilets. A general store which is handy. Great wifi, but then there weren’t many other guests on our 4 nights stay. Helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Some friends and I tented it here on a ride. Nice location, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, they even comped a bundle of firewood. Even after all that I would not go back. It was the most expensive tent site I have been.
The RV sites were cramped to say the least.awnings practically touching the neighboring RV. The one time I needed to use a laundry facility, and their's was of course not working. And you had to pay to use the shower! For as much as they charge, you should be able to take a shower. But I would have been fine to pay for a shower IF SOMEONE TOLD ME! We go to take a shower, find out you have to pay and it only accepts quarters, and the office is closed. Stay away.
A great campground and RV park right on the beach. They pack the trailers in a little tight on weekends, but tent campgrounds have a little breathing room. The check in staff was super friendly, the campgrounds have lots of amenities, including flush toilets (and porta-pottys), showers, trash cans everywhere, a kids playground, a general store with pool tables and arcade in back, laundry room, dump station, propane for sale, etc. Only a 3-5 minute walk to beach!
LOVE Caspar RV Park. Super close to the beach, board and kayak rentals, friendly store staff, clean restrooms and showers, and cute play area for kids.
I love this RV Park. It had been 21 yrs since my last visit and it was truly wonderful. All The staff were very accommodating, polite and helpful. We stayed 2 full days and wished we could have stayed longer.
Also, the place is very clean And kept up real well. We will be back for sure!
Thank you staff for the great stay.
Nice place to camp. Short walk to the beach. Limited cellular service and wifi but quiet place to stay. Electrical and water connections. Coin laundry and showers. Well supplied store by main entrance. Pet friendly.
Weird homeless guy was in our 40$ a night space, somehow he has a free one month stay. It was a problem and runed our stay.
Lovely little spot. I camped with my three sons and the sound of the ocean. Delightfully mystical and mysterious with a darling little cove to wander at Sunrise! I will definitely be back.
Locally and privately owned. Super nice people. The tent camping in the canyon area is awesome. Close to the beach (across the street) and a short walk to the lighthouse.
