If it wasn’t for cast centers, I wouldn’t still be sober! They helped me in so many ways! They are like family to me!

Cast Centers, an amazing place with understanding, patience, great service to others through the utilities provided. Reached out to the team because I needed help. They were accepting of me, understanding but most importantly guided me at a pace that would push me to continue to strive for sobriety. I highly recommend Cast Centers because it’s it a UNIQUE SERVICE to anyone who wants help.
Huge thank you to Coach Mike Bayer, a big man with a big heart, and a huge hug if you ever get the chance to meet him. Thank you Patrick, Samson, Amanda and the rest of the staff.

I feel incredibly lucky to have found CAST Centers. I’d been experiencing severe panic attacks when I decided to go, and I can say with no exaggeration that it changed my life and gave me hope again. The staff are incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, open-minded, and dedicated to what they do, and I was surrounded by a very kind group of peers who always reminded me that I was not going through my struggles alone. CAST provides a space where you can open up and feel accepted, and the program is designed to help you heal and grow as a whole person. If you are looking for a support system that will help you start to feel more in control of your life again, I cannot recommend this place enough.

At a pivotal moment in my life, I found myself at Cast Centers, a place recommended by my psychiatrist when I faced the dual blows of a sudden layoff and the heartbreaking news that my senior dog had cancer. At that juncture, I was immersed in profound depression, my existence reduced to a monotonous routine of working to pay bills. The concept of group therapy was new to me, and initially, I was resistant, even in denial, about the idea of seeking help in such a setting.

During my first month at Cast, I approached the experience with reluctance and skepticism. However, within a few weeks, Samson, one of the facilitators, presented me with an activity that I accepted more as a challenge than a genuine attempt to engage. Surprisingly, it worked. One breath at a time, I began to rediscover life and pull myself out of the depths of despair.

Yes, Cast provides handouts from a website, but the real value lies in the unique insights, perspectives, and expertise brought to the table by individuals like Samson, Sarah, Amanda, Jackie, and Patrick. Their diverse life experiences and distinct approaches create a transformative environment. The group sessions offer a safe space to delve into personal struggles, surrounded by individuals who are either processing similar issues or making strides toward improvement. Despite the inevitable presence of one person who may consider themselves above others, judgment is not actively felt.

Reflecting on my journey, I regret not seeking this path earlier. Life's demands often hinder self-discovery, making me profoundly grateful for the opportunity to spend a few months dedicated to personal growth. Cast Centers equipped me with the tools necessary to overcome depression and navigate through anxiety among other things. For anyone seeking a transformative experience, Cast Centers is the place to be.

IF YOU ARE EVEN THINKING OF GOING - DO IT!

My state of mind and anxiety/depression had reached the limit, and I needed help.

CAST Centers from day one was a space I felt safe, heard, and was able to work through many of the tremendous challenges I was having within my own mind.

In my time at CAST, I have seen multiple people who were on their way out say - "This place has saved my life".

The staff truly care, and will do everything they can to assist you to get back on a strong path.

I will always be grateful for the people and care I received at CAST.

I waited a bit to post this.its just about a year or so since I stepped into this place with my wife when we were having some mental health challenges from the pandemic Seeking therapy is not normal for myself since we are from a much older time when mental health was basically.shut up and push on. But in my seeking to get out of the cycle of the mental challenges Brought me to listening to the audio books of the founder, Mike Bayer: ONE DECISION and BEST SELF. I wanted to see if the place practiced what was preached. And I have to say they did. From the phone call to make an appointment I felt compassion, which led me to open up. It did not feel like a routine phone call to take an appointment, they gave us the time to chart out a path and they matched us with what made us comfortable given the many formats they have. In other words they customized out healing. I don't really know what the others in the center go through, I only know what my wife and I went through. So I speak for my journey and We will forever be grateful for the path we were placed on towards our healing.and a path which eventually got us strong enough with techniques and healing to embrace who we are and where we are. Being a resident in West Hollywood we are lucky as a community to have this tool just around the corner. I thank the whole cast center team because this late in our life, being 25 years married and in our 50s we feel like we are just beginning to LIVE! PEACE LOVE LIGHT

I was in the PHP program (in person 5 days a week, 3 group sessions per day, and 1-2 individual sessions each week) looking for help with severe depression, anxiety and partially losing my hearing suddenly in my late 20s. This is my experience and why I STRONGLY urge people to proceed with caution if contemplating looking to Cast Centers for help during a vulnerable time in your life:

THE GOOD
The one positive thing about Cast was the ability to connect with other humans who were experiencing their own struggles and trying to heal collectively in a group setting. I was able to connect to people who understood me in a time when I needed it; that is the only positive I have to give this place.

THE BAD
Throughout the day, you will listen to a guided meditation on YouTube or Pandora, do a worksheet that was clearly printed from a psychology website, watch a Ted Talk/inspirational video, and go around the circle and answer how it made you feel. While there was a therapist present, I rarely felt that professional input was provided to a lot of what people were saying they needed help with. I personally learned more from the other people in group with me than the therapists involved. This place isn’t cheap-and most of the time it felt like when you had a substitute teacher wheel the TV into class.

THE UGLY
Mental health providers aren’t perfect and don’t know all the answers; however, showing effort and that they care about you as a person is a critical part of therapy that I DID NOT receive during my time at Cast. From day 1 I said I needed help processing a condition I have that caused me to partially lose my hearing. I wasn’t feeling supported after being in the program for 3 weeks and asked BOTH of the therapists assigned to me if they had done any research on my condition, Googled hearing loss, or even watched a movie about deaf people so maybe they could help me and both of their responses: no.

Secondly- I experienced a hearing emergency WHILE under care at Cast and updated them about what was going on. In order to preserve hearing, I requested that we do not watch or listen to anything in group sessions while on strict orders from my doctor to remain in quiet locations for 1 week. The very next day- they played a 40 minute Ted Talk video, which made my issue worse and need to leave for the day (which they reported as me not completing the session that day). They showed zero care to a very simple disability accommodation, and it was made clear they are not prepared to assist people with disabilities.

The staff at Cast seems woefully under qualified to handle those who may be in a crisis period in life, especially those with unique circumstances. Also- beware about Dr. Mylett, something is very off putting with her (other people I met in the program expressed both of these things as well, which is why I included it).

While this is my experience, it shows the lack of central characteristics that are needed to help people in their tough times in life. My personal advice is to continue your search elsewhere, but to each their own.

Be blessed!

CAST saved my life! I hit rock bottom! In individual sessions I learned to address the parts of me that were wounded and filled with sorrow, pity, shame, resentment, ego.instead of stuffing those feelings and memories, I could learn to understand them and grow from the experience, good or bad.
In the group sessions, I gained tools to use instead of self-destructive behaviors/reactions. I learned to put myself first and not worry about others before myself. It's a process every day and truthfully, it's not always easy, but if I don't stay on the path, it won't turn out well. Additionally, I gained friendships and I even attend the Alumni groups, where I can be reminded of my daily choices and how they affect me. Lastly, the staff all had different styles and were able to reach me and relate to me in their own way! I cried like a baby when it was time to graduate and was afraid I couldn't do it - but look at me now!

Cast is one of the best evidence-based substance abuse and mental diagnosis treatment centers. What distinguishes it is the level of professionalism of the staff and their sincere and genuine compassionate and empathetic approach not to mention their non-judgmental and flexible individual and group therapies where they create a safe space where one can openly share in confidence and begin the process of recovery to becoming your best self.
