Castaway Motel reviews
18Love this motel. Everything was clean, smoke free, no pests, quiet, and I also love the fact that it is affordable. The Management has always been kind, helpful, and courteous when it comes to certain requests or a need. My boyfriend and I always look forward to our time together while staying here at this Castaway in Orange. I am recommending this cozy getaway to friends and family, from in town and even while visiting from out of town. Hope to see you soon Castaway Team.
My boyfriend and I stay here from time to time. Never any problems and always polite. Clean towels, no pests, no derelicts, just peace and quiet.
I had a horrible experience there me n my husband went to this hotel the rooms were ok.but when I turn off the lights and lay down turn on the tv. A few minutes later i saw something moving i turn on the lights n saw like couple of bed bugs. Right away woke up my husband we both took all the cover sheets from the bed n i couldnt believe what I saw the bed was soo dirty with big blood spots n we saw more bed bugs worst experience ever! I went to the office n complain The old guy and the young man there were soo rude and told me that I put them there n they told me that the blood stains it wasnt that bad n other people never complain they didn't care what I had to say they give me a hard time to give me a refund until I told them that I have videos of it n i was recording everything n that i was gnna sue them they got scare and had no choice giving me a refund! Soo please if u go there make sure before u lay down check the bed n under the covers! WORST HOTEL EVER!
Super Parkplatz. Sehr effektiv organisiert. Ausstattung ok. Manche Mängel muss man tolerieren. Umgebung hat alles was man braucht.
Very Good Location and Quiet area with ample parking. Room was clean and worth the price. Management had a very pleasant and helping attitude
Having a McDonald & Del Taco on the nearby lot of this unit was very convenient
We got charged for a 50 dollar deposit and we did not leave a mess cleaned up for housekeeper and left 10 min before check out and the heavier very rude lady at the desk only gave me 30 dollars then the "manager" shows and arguing with us that it is only 30 dollars they don't give receipts for anything beware they will try to come up on your money if you decide to go it is a sketchy place and make sure you get a receipt for your deposit or they will try to steal your money first and last time i ever come here
I'm in here relaxing all the way. I was not expecting these rooms to be as nice as they are. It looks like there's been an upgrade to this motel, but not too sure because this is my first time staying here. Nice and relaxing and definitely worth the price. More than expected for the price I paid. Due to the location, this could cost over $100 easy during the summer. Not too far from Disneyland, which is a short drive past the stadium where the Anaheim Angels play and also close to really nice outlet mall. There's numerous restaurant options within walking distance. I'm currently having Domino's Pizza although McDonald's is right next door. Free WiFi and cable TV, I'm currently watching the Lakers vs the Timberwolves on TNT. If you're reading this review in 2023, the rates might have increased by then but right now it's under $100 a night. Really great and affordable rates for a trip to Disneyland.
I am aware you require a valid credit card and ID upon arrival. I had both. Aside from the poor customer service I recieved, the front counter wouldn't accept my credit card they were demanding cash.
The rooms are clean and have the basics for the economical pricing. It has drivable distance to everything is also convenient.
The only reason it's not 5/5 is because the parking is not monitored well and there should be 1 space per room. Instead it's first come first served and two nights in a row I had to park far away and Uber back to the location.
Plan ahead for that. I will say I have my 2nd visit soon and I will update my review if anything has changed.
It was ok. It had what we needed. The room is simple it has tp, bed, sheets, tv, microwave, fridge (didn't work), hair drier (didn't work, had lipstick stains and stuck on melted red wig hair). Shower needs a deep clean, carpet needed a cleaning too. Our stay was quiet, the manager was friendly, close to our destination (disney& convention center) and next to restaurants. Mc donalds right next door, gas station on the corner, Mexican restaurants, donut shops, laundry mats, market and liquor store at walking distance. It was very convenient for us. I just really hated the dirty hair drier, didn't care that it was broken but should've it cleaned.
The older man and a young man were nice to me but a heavy set lady who works there was extremely rude to me and still had the audacity to tell me not to go back. It’s okay for them to be rude but if guest are rude they get banned! The Motel is in a decent area but it’s very loud because of all the cars passing by the Main Street. No good amenities and the WIFI kept failing! If you want a quiet place to rest this is not it. “The owner” has the audacity to reply and say something regarding a deposit that I did give! That has nothing to do with that Fat lady being rude and telling her own version of events!
Lady at the desk who checked me in was very rude trying several Times to deny me my room that I had pre-paid for. Saying my name didn't match. Booked room under Chris that is short for Christopher. No seriously she actually tried saying I booked using a different name. Then she tried saying my booking date was 6/9/22 and I booked the wrong day. I had to inform her that the date was correct that's today's date. I finally was able to get the room I paid. What a disappointment, the A/C didn't work it only blew hot air and the bathroom was filthy. Don't stay here you will be disappointed. To the owner: Maybe you should treat your guests with respect, clean your rooms and fix the appliances.
The owners are low lives that's a credit card up front once went back for it act like it wasn't there got used. Also the rooms have such a scary creepy vibe the whole place does.
I had a reservation with this motel. I showed up and the owner claimed that my reservation had been canceled. I asked him if he had any rooms open. He stated that there are no available rooms. Once he took notice of how sad and desperate I was, he goes, "I have one room open, for $250 a night. " I was in such despair, I agreed. While he was creating my reservation, I felt something off about this situation. I felt manipulated and that he was taking advantage of a desperate situation. I asked him to let me think about it for a minute. I hopped on my phone and found a much nicer hotel room for a much better rate. I called an Uber and headed to the SunCoast Hotel by Hilton where I booked a room for $150 a night. Before I called the Uber, I tried to charge my phone in a wall port of the hotel. While I was charging my phone, the motel owner came out of his office and started yelling at me to get off his property. He cursed at me and threatened me. His wife also came out of the motel and screamed at me. This was the single-worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. I came to this motel with the intention to stay there and rather than spend my money there, the owner tried to manipulate me, and when I didn't fall for it, he screamed at me and cursed at me. I will never go near this place again.
We got honor the VIP code for free upgrade management was so much short with me on checking in
Whenever I come to Anaheim, I am always indebted here. It’s convenient to have everything nearby. All the stuff are very kind.
Plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and stores within walking distance including a Mcdonald's.
Haven't had a problem at this motel. The employees become friendly when treated with respect.
Both rooms were clean and without issues when I've stayed a week a couple of times for work in the area.
I plan to stay a couple of more times, for a week, to finish the technical work for my customers in the area.
Caught a creepy old man that worked there trying to peek into the window off my room. My wife was inside, so I found this alarming. The next day they rudely told us to leave. They told us they were calling the police because we took to long. I offered to pay for another day, but they wouldn't accept. They are and angry bunch. I don't recommend this place. 0/10
