Castle Mountains National Monument reviews
3 Very tranquil place! Saw two coyotes and some birds. I had the place to myself on a Saturday morning. The only people I saw were workers driving from the mine that is accessed by the same road as the national monument.
There are no amenities here and phone service is very spotty. A beautiful place to be alone with your thoughts.
There are a few dirt roads, but most were marked as closed to vehicles, but they would make good hiking paths.
I came here on a whim and had no clue what to do out here. I suppose it's just a massive backcountry, self exploration area? Since I was flying solo, I decided to follow some of the dirt roads and see if I found anything. I need to do some research on the area and revisit.
Cool little hike right outside of Havasu. It was quite short but still a nice little adventure.
