Catalina 8 Inn Motel

Very clean place, with nice manager Shawn (and his wife)! The rooms are well equipped (microwave, frigobar, hair dryer, AC, comfortable bed, table and chair), the rooms have are spacious, 24 hour service!

Me and my fiancé got very impressed with the motel, and we're glad we went there! And around has a lot of useful services (food, markets, pharmacies, etc.)

Shawn is very nice and if you be nice with him he'll make sure you'll be well treated and have a good stay!

This is one of the best motel I have ever stayed. The rooms are pretty clean and friendly staff

My mom Hong Lee, 58 year old Korean has been missing since she stayed at the Catalina 8 Inn. She was last heard from on Thursday, Sept. 22,2022. She stopped texting or calling that same evening. I’ve called and visited the inn and so has my father. But they will not release the video footage we need to see what happened to my mother.

Some dude with glasses was slow to help. Clearly checked out mentally. Also there were bedbugs.

This place was not where I'd expect to see a motel in the city. Nice spot for a random rendezvous.

It was so good with clean rooms and good service and more the front desk is very friendly and nice

So my dad and i rented room 12 and at first glance it was clean and nice. But then we found out that the toilet was clogged and would not flush, the sink had a leak and then we were looking around some more and found out that the air filter had not been cleaned in who knows how long. There was some weird spots on one of the sheet sets (looked like blood or rust), peoples clothing items were still under the bed and there were full on handprints on the headboards. The mirror was also supe filthy and there was ash in the bedside dresser drawer. I honestly don't like writing bad reviews and this is the first i have ever written but this is soo bad. I havent ever been to an inn with these conditions before. On the positve side it is a cute building with friendly workers and the room is initially cute. It has a tv, easy parking and the shower is pretty nice and gets pretty hot. The beds were pretty comfy.

There is something suuuuuuuuuuper shady about this place. My dad is in town and this hotel is on the same block as someone he is visiting, so as we walked by on our way to a late breakfast, he stopped by to ask how much the rooms were and was told they were $148/night and they had rooms available. He said he'd be back and, sure enough, he walked up to the window on our way back and was then told that they didn't have any rooms available. They also asked for how many people both times and he said just for himself.

My dad then began the hunt for a new room and then decided to see what would happen when he called this place up. He asked if they had any rooms available and they said yes, but refused to give him a price until he showed up at the hotel. So, an hour later we were back and they were once again playing games. Now saying they didn't have anything available, asking him how many people, then telling him it was $160/night, but he'd have to wait 20 minutes to be able to check in (this was 3pm, so it wasn't before check-in time).

By the way, this entire time, every time they asked my dad how many people, they looked suspiciously at the woman in our group (or maybe it was to me, I don't know). What I do know that that they discriminated against my father and should be shut down. He went elsewhere.

It use to be a decent price $110 a night, which for the location and room was ok. Still overpriced but not bad. But now for whatever reason they’ve raised it up to $148. Definitely not worth the stay. The beds are uncomfortable, walls are super thin, seems like someone is always standing by or in front of the door, there’s bedbugs, if you’re lucky you’ll get a room with a decent fridge and a microwave, the showers are terrible. Overall this place has gone down hill, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Not even for just a few hrs. The owners are pretty cool and nice but the new people they have there definitely don’t have customer skills

Great customer service and answers to you in a timely manner. We stayed here for 18 days and it was great like home.

Awesome hotel! The service is awesome, all the employees are so kind and outgoing. There are 24 hour free candy/snacks at the front desk, a 24 hour soda machine, 24 hour heated pool and ice cream machine in the afternoons.so cute!

I stay here all the time and the whole family is amazing! Clean rooms and and rest of staff always willing to help!
