Would not recommend working here. Did not feel welcomed at all. They pretend they will work with your schedule and then when you speak up for yourself they get upset. And also the Mexican receptionist who is he or something always has a stinky attitude on her face. Not a lot of diversity with ethnicities

My aunt was at Catered Manor for almost 2 years. She liked the activities and playing bingo. She didn’t like the food much. My only complaint is that they are very under staffed to be able to take care of the patients.

My great Uncle stayed here at Catered Manor for half a year due to hair fractures in his spine causing him tremendous pain in his back. Nurses always took extreme care with him and helped/answered his requests for help without a second thought. Definitely would recommend others.

My grandma was attended and well taken care at this nursing home. My family and I are very appreciative of how good everyone treated and the work they did to help my grandma.

My name is Alex i have been working at Catered manor for 5 years now, I started as a CNA and while working full time i also was going to school full time and received my bachelor's and I was given an opportunity to work in social services and case management and have been working for a year now. The management and staffing at the facility takes passion and effort to satisfy our residents and families. From alicia in activities to our nurses and cna's I encourage family and or future residents looking for a skilled nursing home to come for a tour of the facility and ask questions, no one is perfect but we strive and aim for safety and security in our facility for our residents and our residents families. Call the facility and ask for a tour! We are looking forward to meeting you and your family.

I have worked at this facility for a little over a year and I love it here. Our administrator Emelyn Lawler cares for the well-being of our patients and her employees which I think is very important for the success of a Nursing Facility. Catered Manor has nurses that care deeply for their patients for example Rocio LVN she goes above and beyond to care for her patients or Maria L. CNA she is always attentive to her patients needs. Also Alicia our activities director she works hard to make sure patients are entertained and have smooth visitations every single day. I love working at Catered Manor and as I’m reading this negative comments I’m sure they are exaggerated negative opinions and I do not agree with them.

My Mom, who's a heart attack victim, was there for less than 40 hours. The first night (she arrived around 9: 30pm) was fine. The second night was not. The night nurse (male, Hispanic) gave my mom some meds. She thought was given two tylenols and a stool softener; she was given two cholesterol pills and a pill to lower her blood pressure (don't know why, she had been having low blood pressure issues at the hospital). She had trouble swallowing; she called for her nurse. He asked her 'Do you know what time it is? It's 1am! " He moved her handset (to call for assistance) and closed the door. She asked her two roommates to call, no one did. She suffered through the night with swollen lips and not being able to swallow. The next day, she was taken to the hospital where they ran tests. It looks like she did have an allergic reaction to the meds the night nurse gave her.but he wouldn't know because he disregarded her. And now, they have lost her belongings. I went back the next day after she was transported to the hospital to discover that her belongings were gone. And they have no Inventory List.hmmm, did they offer the 88 year old a list at 9: 30pm when she arrived? They damn sure didn't offer me one when I went to visit her on Thursday afternoon. DISREGARD THEIR MISSION STATEMENT; FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

This was the worst facility for my mother in law. One nurse was particularly abusive and intimidating. She went so far to break medical ethics and unprofessional behavior by attempting to blackball my mother in law from other facilities. A mean and uncaring place! Beware! She now is in a wonderful place with excellent care!

Apparently because some of us residents are unable to care for ourselves, that gives the facility the impression that if one of their staff/employees breaks, throws away our PERSONAL belongings the facility doesn't have to replace (or remedy the situation) the property. Also if they lose your property for months and months and months, it's finally located not by the staff but by the resident it doesn't have to be returned it addressed. Also they apparently feel that by casting clouds they are not responsible and could possibly find a way to take even more property from their guests. So wrong! They cannot even find time to address the situation. So in the long run be prepared to have your property at risk as well as have to replace/remedy the situation on your own.

I was there for PT after Surgery, the 4 days that I was there I only had 2 therapy session I was getting worst so practically I was in Bed 24/7, I Just wanted to go home,
the day after I came home I started using my Walker
Staff; some were excellent and some no good
food was awful, you ring the bell for help, many times they will take long time before they show up to see what you need.

I worked here many many years ago. I never had a bad experience. At that time we all worked together to get the patients taken care of. Presently I'm looking for a place for my dad who had a stroke earlier this year. These reviews are scaring me a little.

This nursing home allows their LVNs to verbally abuse, argue and treatment neglect their patients with only a "we will have her do an in service and coach her to do better. " The patient then yelled she didn't want to deal with that LVN in the future. Then the following day they didn't have that LVN assist me, but then my timed prescribed medications were delayed bt two hours and eleven minutes until somebody else was available to help me. The resident who stuck up for herself by finally arguing with the LVN was given choices to handle the future,
1) Apologize and have that caregiver back. 2) Accept another person and get my prescriptions when they have an available person 3) Change rooms away from that LVN and leave my current roommate. 4) Find a new facility and they would even assist in finding one. So I bit the bullet and apo L opined, which made me sick to my stomach, the LVNs response was to say OK, walked away and NOT to apologize for her behavior. So basically the management gives their staff a "get out of jail free card" to treat their patients anyway they want with no consequences.

A true horrific nightmare for convalescent patients and worst nightmare for their relatives. This place has endless histories of people bad experiences while being admitted here. It’s really a shock to understand how they’re still operating and their license hasn’t been revoked. Perhaps management needs to have a private company provide meetings to educate their staff on how important their guess are in order for them to remain on business.
“ no customer, no money “ and it’s simple fact to understand.
And if the problem it’s an issue of staff/employee dislike or frustration of being in the wrong field, well new personal with the correct attitude it’s a must to be able to provide appropriated/acceptable service…

First and foremost, let me say that I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. However, this place provides very poor service to its residents. The nurses have attitude when answering the phone if you want to find about how your loved one is doing, there is only one phone number where you may call to speak directly with your loved one and most of the time it is not answered because it’s busy (another resident has it) or the employees don’t answer it, the level of care is very poor and if the family members don’t call to check up on the patients they will easily be neglected. The employees either don’t know what they’re doing, they’re overworked or they simply don’t care. My father has shared that he pages the nurses and it takes them very long to respond. Lastly, if you want to visit, plan on doing it a week out because they have limited number of appointments and most if the time they will fill up quickly because the person who schedules them is unavailable. The first day my father arrived, they even forgot to give him breakfast. This facility is the worst I’ve encountered thus far. If you can avoid it, please do. My father was previously placed at Marlora and he received very high level of care there. Very sad and frustrated family member.

My mom has been a patient there twice now over the last year. Her first visit was post covid, so I was able to visit her. Everyone was very nice, the place was clean and she was cared for. She did have her own room, however the room was intended for three people and maybe that was just a result of them not being full at the time. The food is just okay, but you can bring in food - which I did for my mom. No issues with her stay at all. The second visit was during covid so I wasn't able to visit her. She was there for about two months, unfortunately caught covid while in the facility.but was treated great, they kept me posted every day. Never made me feel like I was bothering them when I called every single day, twice a day checking on her. I feel like these places in general just aren't the greatest but I always felt like my mom was safe and well cared for. I would give five stars if the food was a little better. But the staff deserves five stars.

My mother was discharged from the hospital and sent to this place. After two days they sent her back to the hospital because they didn't feel equipped to take care of her. They sent her without all of her things, including her purse, so she had no glasses or cell phone. I then had to call catered manner today and talked to her social worker, Nancy, who said they would do what they could, or mail it. I insisted, they could not mail it, as my mom needed her things immediately, today. Nancy became very flip with me, saying okay sir, sure, thank you, goodbye. Right now I'm waiting to talk to Nancy's supervisor. I would never wish this kind of treatment on anybody.
