Cavalier Restaurant reviews
20Restaurant is located attached to the hotel. It was extremely clean and the service was very pleasant. Had baby back ribs and they were super. The table was roomy and overlooked the ocean. Saw whales breaching in the ocean while eating. I was surprised by the high quality of the food. Definitely going back.
A very good restaurant has good portions of food I stopped here for breakfast every year I'm out this way I noticed that there is always the same people working here Good Vibes!
Excellent food and really great service. I had the bolognese and it was obviously homemade with lots of veggies. Even my baby’s peanut butter sandwich was made with care. Great stop!
Food was ok, nothing really super special, similar to Denny's style restaurants. Service was very friendly and helpful.
Consistent good service and food. We love the Cavalier for their fish tacos, clam chowder, and dinner specials. We have been here for casual lunches and holiday dinners. I've never been disappointed.
The restaurant is a good place to have a nice meal. The food is good. Average american food. Service is 5 star.
Location is perfect if you stay at their hotel. The hotel is a perfect place to stay if you want to have either romantic or quiet and beautiful vacation.
Food was decent, but there are definitely better options in town of Cambria. Not a bad place, food was average, staff was friendly, but it just kinda felt like a Denny's.
Over priced for just ok food. Staff was friendly. $21 for 3 small pieces of fish and fries. Won't be going back again.
Lovely restaurant with good food and excellent service. Portion is decent but I'm not really looking to deal with leftovers while on vacation. Will stop by again on my next visit to San Simeon.
Pizza and tiramisu was absolutely delicious Family run place; very Italian; simple and friendly; prices and very low for great value: I highly recommend it
Nice view of the ocean out the window.
The Sea Bass was excellent, but the side dishes were lacking in execution. Rice was dry and undercooked with very little flavor, and the green beans with slivered almonds seemed to be cooked in lemon juice. The flavor of the almonds was at odds with the lemon. My dinner partner had spaghetti, which I could tell she enjoyed because she usually doesn't finish her meal regardless of how good it is. The clam chowder was as good as I have ever had anywhere. The best part of the meal was the bread rolls served with whipped butter.
Service was adequate, almost robotic, the waitress could have been a bit more friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day? No smile, no friendly chat. Almost a curt attitude. Checked in on us a little less than would have been appropriate but didn't ignore us.
Well, the food was neither fu nor fa, but it was a nice place to stop for lunch on the beach just after coming down from Hearst Castle.
We have been coming to the Cavalier Inn and Restaurant since 1986 and the food and the people were as great as ever! The Breakfast Burrito and Cinnamon Roll were delicious, and the Chorizo Scramble was amazing! Just the right kind of spicy. Four of the servers we have known since 1986 are still there and they truly make this a special place! We would recommend the Kitchen for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This is an exceptional and very friendly restaurant with outstanding food! Our favorite spot in San Simeon/Cambria!
A most wonderful dinner and excellent margaritas! We shared the grilled salmon salad and pasta diablo. Both were excellent and large portions. Definitely recommend
I think it's a solid Diner. My dish was tasty enough, my friend really disliked his stroganoff though, so I gotta knock it a start. It's still a decent spot to hit up though for some diner food.
The food was good tasty and hot. Plenty of coffee, I just needed more napkins which didn't make to the table.
This was a last minute find and I am so glad we did. The dinner service was top notch. Our server was so nice and attentive, he made my sons birthday dinner memorable. I had the salmon burger which I highly recommend. Only problem was I wanted to try everything! Seeing the wonderful dishes coming out to other tables makes me wish I lived closer!
This is one of the few restaurants in the area that offers vegan options. They have a vegan breakfast burrito and a vegan burger. My partner and I always make it a point to stop here or stay nearby. It's a cozy restaurant with delicious food and kind/attentive staff.
The food was very good. We opted for the room service and enjoyed the ocean view from our room. Firelpace, adding to the atmosphere.
We went here for breakfast and dinner during our road trip. Like our hotel, this restaurant was getting old - but clean. The service was good and the view from the restaurant was nice. The food was just ok.
