2 Jonathan has worked this amazing Estate up to its full potential with low production, high end wines true to the terroir of the Fair Play region. Jonathan has been at this winery for over 20 years and continues to improve it all the time.
Many of the wineries of Fair Play have "turned over" in the last two decades, but not Cedarville. Cedarville is part of the old guard, and does wine extremely well in an artisanal, small production capacity.
Almost all wines are from Estate grapes, Petite Syrah is from Naylor a local vineyard, that offers high quality fruit.
Specialties here are the Cabernet Sauvignon * (rare in EDC), Grenache, Viognier and Syrah. The prized selections here are the blended. The Rules of Fair Play and the Turnabout are truly exceptional blends.
Call for an appointment and get on the email list and treat yourself to a case every so often, or when the Spring and Fall specials are available. Jonathan is not into making his winery a big numbers success. He is about personal list of good customers and producing the best in small delicious batches. Very small batches.
So get it early, Jonathan's stuff sells out!
Excellent wines, especially the Martha Jane Rose. The best part of the experience was Mikayla, who helped us with tasting. She’s so fun and personable. Highly recommend!
