Restaurant Cellar Door reviews
6Went for drinks nice atmosphere. Service was on point. Didn't try food so no comment.
We ordered coffee and drinks from the cafe. Sure beats the starblahs across the street! Stellar coconut mango Italian soda!
The Cellar Door was a pleasant venue with exceptionally attractive and attentive waitstaff who provided top-notch service. I would rate their waiter service as a solid 10/10. However, during our visit for lunch, the place seemed rather empty, which did allow for a peaceful dining experience. The music playing in the background was enjoyable, and it was refreshing to have a meal in such a serene atmosphere.
For my lunch, I opted for the steak sandwich with a side of salad, accompanied by a refreshing glass of water. The steak sandwich was decent, although it was cooked closer to medium well rather than the medium rare I had requested. The salad, on the other hand, consisted of fresh ingredients, but the dressing was a bit too sour for my liking.
Overall, I believe it would be worthwhile to revisit The Cellar Door during the evening when the ambiance is livelier. Despite the slight disappointment with the steak sandwich and dressing, the excellent service from the stunning waitstaff made the experience quite enjoyable.
The food was really good. We did a road trip in the area for about 10 days and this was one of the best meals we had. Fresh, tasty, interesting flavours. The atmosphere was that of a club rather than a restaurant and the AC was really strong so we had to keep layers on. Personal preference probably, other customers didn't seem to be bothered. Just a bit odd to have dinner overlooking a dance floor, but again, the food itself was great and the staff really friendly and efficient.
Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. Went for a Valentine's dinner with a set menu and they still got it all wrong. First was seated and shortly after was asked to move to a different table, then they took 20 mins to get drink order. Our tables food was not brought out simultaneously, literally two choices on the menu and the wrong food was brought out, on top of that the server was serving salad with her bare hands, literally dug her hands in a bin of tomato and slapped it on the plate. Honestly the only good part I can say was they understood and comp out bill. There are a lot more decent places in Visalia.
