Ceviche 19 reviews
19Very good service, I only had their signature dish, so I can't honestly rate the food. Let's just say that the "Ceviche 19" wasn't what I expected, overpriced, and didn't come with the famous Peruvian bun to dip and trench in the sauce
Peruvian here… this place is legit. The Ceviche was top notch, it was even topped with yuyo (seaweed).
The jalea was great too, and the lomo saltado on point. The service and the ambience (salsa music) was amazing. It reminded of a Lince cevicheria in the heart of Lima city.
The place is small and cozy and very clean. Our server was very quick to take our order and is very attentive and polite. The music was too loud for my liking but to each their own, but it was hard to create a conversation when music is overly loud.
Food
We asked for two different plates, and both had the overpowering taste of the gas grill but not deliciousness of the grill instead of the fumes of such, and that was not delicious at all. The fries in the Lomo Saltado tasted just as the meat, and they were so thick and dried, not enjoyable at all.
The food quality was not worth 23.99 or 21.99. The portions were more fries than anything else overpowered by grill Gass and the soy sauce they tried to use.
Drinks
They only sell can sodas, and water was from a faucet
Parking
Their is plenty of parking
Overall, would I recommend it?
I personally would not come back
Overpriced for the quality of food
Too loud with music noise, not costumers
Wheelchair accessible
1st time here, the food is super delicious (very authentic from Peru) and service was excellent.the atmosphere and decor is very nice!
Service was great however we did not love the food. We have Peruvian food frequently and this restaurant did not feel very authentic. The pulpo a la parrilla was overcooked and served as if it was Mexican fajitas. Also, the ceviche’s leche tigre was bitter. We were disappointed considering the good reviews.
I went there to try Peruvian food which was good and the service was good too. I noticed that the amount of food was like those at Cousine Restaurants, however the flavor was great. The parking is free & available, the place clean & neat. The price was moderate and gave you a variety of different plates to try.
Driven by this place a lot. Finally checked it out, and was pleasantly surprised. Lomo Saltado was perfect.
I'm going for a dish in particular, their sautéed loin is very good, I tried other dishes like ceviche and their chicken causa and on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 5. There are other places where those dishes are better.
Excellent experience! Super fresh delicious food. The acevichada cause the best in the world. The perfectly cooked anticuchos. The ceviche 19 needless to say, the best. I am Peruvian and my husband is Mexican, every time we went to a Peruvian restaurant he ordered ceviche, we tried many flavors, but that one is spectacular. The wonderful attention, very friendly, the cooks could be seen very clean and in their respective suits. Without a doubt the best of L. A. Peruvian pride! Go!
We ordered some green spaghetti and it didn't have salt, the same as the ceviche, but they changed cooks
I liked the Huancaina noodles, with lomo saltado, but the ceviche was not good. The place is well distributed and the service is first class.
Tried them over the weekend, I should have listened to the several reviews that talked about the food being undercooked and seafood not be cleaned well, and just overall their food quality, attention to details, restaurant cleanlisness, and poor customer service. I must have gotten food poisoning, I have felt ill ever since. Seems like they need new staff or just to be shut down by the county until they can figure out and fix ALL of their issues.
Deserves zero stars.
Please understand that any of the good reviews are very clearly from family and friends trying to offset the real paying customers.
Food quality, appearance, presentation, and portions are unacceptable. Honestly, when I saw what they provided I laughed, I have never experienced such a bad food presentation and pathetic portions before. The prices are high as it is, but I don't mind paying for quality food that has reasonable portions. Their prices, for what they are giving are outrageous at best. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. COMPLETE SCAM.
PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED LIKE I WAS, DON'T EAT HERE. I was fooled by the reviews also. This company needs a visit from the health department. After sending back a $25 plate that looked like it was prepared by a teenager, poor presentation and very small portions (not looking like the pictures at all), I was met with equal poor and unprofessional feedback from the staff. If that wasn't a bad experience enough, as I went to the bathroom I unfortunately peeked into the kitchen, which was not only filthy but I saw a rodent. Needless to say my party paid for what we ordered, advised them of their issues and left. I have placed a complaint with the County Food Inspector's Office. They need better training and passion in order to continue in this industry.
This was my first time having Peruvian food and I heard ceviche here was a must-try. I ordered the ceviche mixto and thoroughly enjoyed this dish. All the seafood was extremely fresh but my favorite was definitely the fish: firm, juicy, and no fishiness at all. A bite first strikes you with a mouth-watering sour and spicy flavor, which then unleashes and intensities the latent sweetness of the fish. Their sweet potato, simmered in cinnamon and warm spices, provided such a nice switch-up away from the intensity. I would love to try more food here.
It's one of my favorite places to eat when I get together with my dad. Food is always fresh, delicious, and very filling. The anticuchhos, papa ala hauncaina, and the fish ceviche are delisious. The Lomo Saltado is a classic, and I had Tallaine saltado con camarones. I definitely love coming here.
I would have rated 5 ️; but food, aside from the fact that is tasty and presentation is excellent, portions are very conservative, sauces and condiments are minimal and even smaller portions. Ambience is duh, minimal to almost none decoration and overall, the location seems to be pretty small. We came in on Thursday late Afternoon and there was only One Waiter for at 30 Patrons, which seems excessive; consequently, orders take longer. Only Beer; No Wine nor Cocktails served here due to a licensing issue.
Food however, is very tasty and well prepared, not an extensive menu choice, but I guess for the size of the locale, it'll do!
Service is fairly decent!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The Parihuela was a little salty, but everything tasted great!
Today my husband and I visited your restaurant ceviche 19 on the recommendations of friends but we had a bad experience regarding the taste of the recommended dishes (they had no flavor, the presentation was not that good) we were dissatisfied since we returned the dishes so that the best and they brought us the same dishes only hotter, it is nothing with what they told us.
