Cham Soot Gol reviews
17We love Korean BBQ and foods. We decided to try this place. Their meat selection is very limited, but we didn't mind moving forward to order. The worse situation was that the grill went up in heavy smokes and our eyes were burning. We request to change to a different table, but the owner/manager ignored our request; they keep pouring ice into the hot grill to calm the smokes and keep saying "it will works. " Apparently, we were eating and inhaled carbon dioxide at the same time. We couldn't continue our dinner and had to leave. Poor management, mediocre foods and high costs. We definitely will never return to this place again.
I go to a lot of kbbqs regularly, but cham sut gol is always on the list because hello? Thrifty’s ice cream on top of a pretty good Korean bbq!
For what is charged for the AYCE option, the choices do not match up to other AYCE Korean BBQ that I've had. It was kinda ok, but the pork jowl saved the meal from being truly mediocre
All you can eat meat place where you can have Korean style bbq. Good quality meat and friendly services from young male waiters. When you a set re hungry for meat, this is the place.
I must say clean environment and plus a great selection of meat choices! This spot has been my favorite for many years now. Oh and do please try the egg soup for it’s delicious and freshly made!
I've eaten here for years. It's a bit on the older side and could use a remodel. But overall the service is on point compared to most places. I had a new server I have seen yesterday by the name of yojhann. He had exceptional service. Most servers are either there to do their job, some put on a fake smile. But he truely had great customer service. He smiled. He said thank you, he'd say I'll be right back, and let us know that our order is almost out, etc. He hustled.
The best place I've tried the waiting time is worth it, I highly recommend the service with my family. It has always been cordial and very friendly, excellent staff
I was my first time there and it's amazing! To me the spicy pork belly is the best. Not a very large selection but what they do have is real good
This is the BEST Korean BBQ I've EVER HAD. I have been coming here for over 10 years. I never wrote a review because this place doesn't need one to do well and it's already too busy. I've moved further away, but I still ONY come here when friends or family want Korean BBQ. It's worth the drive!
Hardworking staff, good side dishes, disappointing protein.
Highly recommend ordering half portions to start off with so you get used to how big they are. I have to say, the taste of the meat here were just OK. Many other Korean BBQs have more flavorful meat (through marinating or providing a more vibrant sauce/dip). It's a little sad when I find the little side dishes much more compelling in terms of taste.
But of course the prices here are very fair, and the service staff worked very hard, providing grill changes every 15 minutes or so.
Overall, a good but not great experience.
Best place for Korean BBQ in all of garden Grove. Attentive staff, reasonably priced, great deals and great quality of meats.
Quiet during Sunday lunch. Love it because the servers don't forget about you as much. They're doing great despite COVID ongoing.
We got charged for not finishing all the food. It was a lot, but it was combing of all of us. We shouldn't have group it together which made it look a lot. A sign needs to be placed for that
The price did went up from the last time I went. The price was $25 per person and now its $30. I think the price hike is fair because the quality is good. Meats and side dishes are really good. The wait staff are slower than other KBBQ places but they are pretty friendly. This place is probably my 3rd reccomend KBBQ place in OC.
We ordered brisket, beef bulgogi and thin sliced pork belly. The portions were huge for 2 ppl! I’d recommend ordering a half size. The sides were delicious and they have radish paper as an option besides rice and rice paper! The food was good, I only wish the thin sliced pork belly had more flavor to it, it was very plain. Other than that, our server was very nice and accommodating!:) they also AYCE ice cream towards the back of the restaurant!
Overall good variety of food. Customer service was a 4 star because they would forget we had placed an order and had us waiting. Also they would hardly come to our table we would literally have to stop someone passing by to ask for what we needed whether it was more meat, drinks, or sides.
