Chan Chan reviews
14The sweet garlic fried chicken had a very crispy batter and juicy meat. There is more batter than meat but in the best way possible. The sauce was sweet and savory like honey walnut shrimp. There was a lot of sauce, but it didn't make the batter soggy. The beef kimbap was packed with lots of meats and veggies. They definitely did not skimp out. The squid tteokbokki was chewy, not too spicy, and very flavorful. Squid was cooked well and not overdone.
Nice variety of Korean food. Their Kimbap is a must have. Their chicken has a nice texture but flavor is a little lacking but the sauce helps.
Amazing korean food! Got the spicy topokki with squid and cheese and glass noodles. Both additions made the dish really stand out. The Beef Kimbap was super flavorful. Must get the fried chicken! We got the soy garlic flavor and it was amazing. Slight soy flavor with a good punch of garlic. The kimchi fried rice was a great dish to bring all of our entrees together. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Will be returning!
So good! They have noodles, kimchi fried rice, rice cakes, fried chicken and some others. These two are my personal favorites: kimchi fried rice with spam and black spicy rice cake! Amazing
Mediocre food and overpriced
They gave us wrong food and did not care to make it right
Taste: 4.6/5
If you love Korean food, you'll love **Chan Chan Food House!
You can choose from a variety of options, such as fried chicken, kimbap, noodles, rice cakes, and more. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.
I would recommend
sesame chicken
chan chan rice roll
. The sesame chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, coated with a sweet and savory sauce that has a hint of spice.
Get the sweet garlic tenders! I normally order chicken wings, but decided to try the chicken tenders. OMG.they are truly tenders, juicy on the inside crispy on the outside and the butter sauce.so yummy!
Get in line order your food, get a number pick a table. For large groups put your name on the waiting list, once you have the table get in line and order. Great customer service.
Um.yeah.so this yard bird place is legit. That garlic stuff man, I'm telling you, delicious. Super fun farts later in the evening! Cannot wait to go back!
WORST service - even RACIST I’ve ever seen in Korean restaurants. Communication was disastrous. Employees showed no respect to customers.
People, there are so many other awesome k-food places with awesome services and similar menu (highly recommend BBQ Chicken for wings). For your own enjoyment, don’t eat there. I’m not the only one complain about their disastrous service!
We lined up for dine-in and the server told us to wait outside and someone would call us. No one ended up calling us and left us outside for 30 minutes. This female servicer Lee even showed us a “suit yourself, you can either wait or leave” attitude.
That’s not the right way to do a business.
Interesting small Korean comfort beer restaurant that serves kimbap and wings. Ordered the house chan Chan kimbap to try and was not disappointed in the taste. Easy to eat and had a great medley of cuts inside the roll. Will come again to try the wings.
This was my first visit to Chan Chan and the food was decent. Would I say this is fantastic fried chicken-no.
I haven't had much experience with Korean fried chicken and disclaiming my friends and i hadn't eaten for 6 hours before hand but this was probably one of the best fried chicken experiences I've ever had. We got 2 orders of wings, sauced up with spicy honey and the other was sauce on the side spicy garlic. The garlicky sauce wasn't as strongly garlicky as i was hoping for but it still was good. The chicken was incredibly crispy and the amount of meat per wing/drumstick was huge. You get 16 for $18 i would say it was definitely worth it. We also got the signature gimbap and it blew my preconceptions of gimbap out of the water. And the last thing we got was the fried mandu which was really good but you have to eat it fast before it gets soggy, it had a lot of noodles in it. The service was super friendly even when we came at a weird time. The restaurant wss pretty clean too.
Had a little group dinner after we had a whole-day competition. It was a rainy night, we had no idea how’s the order and getting seat work here, so we just stepped into the restaurant waited in the line and waited for rest of our friends. When it was our turn, we just let other customers to take their orders ahead of us. Then a man asked us to wait in the line again, ok we did. Then it was our turn for the second time, we were asked to wait outside and use the machine outside to record our name because we have too many people. This is so rude and ridiculous.
Please remember, you won’t have a seat until you finish the order.
The menus mainly contains fried chicken, fries, and ramen. Pretty Korean series style
The side dishes are good, crispy cabbage kimchi and the diced raddish are my favorite! They provided you great appetite! But don’t consume them so soon, you will definitely need them during having the fried chicken!
We had three chicken wings with different flavor. The waiting time is a bit longer than I expected, probably it’s also we were extremely starvingThe spicy flavor is ok, but you won’t be surprised. The garlic one is great for the first bite, but get too greasy immediately. I love the third one, although I have no idea which specific flavor it is, it contains slightly yuzu/citrus flavor, so your palate won’t get bored in a short time. The crispy layer is awesome, the meat is tender and juicy
Tbh, my favorite sauce is the spicy rice cake. The spicy level is higher than that for the fried chicken! The tteokbokki itself is also great!
Consider the flavor, it a great place to have a casual meal with your friend. Not much things are better than fired chicken with iced beer
But 1.5 stars off for the lame service
