Winery Chandon reviews
16Wow! We had an amazing experience at Chandon. Our 10 person group did the togetherness lunch in their secluded garden. The food blew away our expectations, based on their website we weren't expecting much but we were served more than we could have imagined. Lots of the food was local and our server explained the 15+ dishes. The champagne kept flowing and our server was very accommodating with dietary restrictions. Our server Garrett was spectacular and became like family by the end. Wish we could do lunch here every day.
This was my second time visiting Chandon with a bachelorette party, and it was just as wonderful as my first time. Lauren was so kind and generous, and did a great job of explaining each tasting without being overzealous. Each tasting exceeded everyone's expectations! The sparkling cab is definitely worth becoming a member for! And the atmosphere of the venue is drool-worthy. We can't wait to come back!
This was an absolute highlight for our trip to Napa! Very well priced options and the ability to just walk in and enjoy a few glasses with the view. Incredible quality and outlook. I could have gladly sat here all day!
Amazing wine! Definitely recommend that. The service was very slow though. We waited 30 minutes for some bread to go with the cheese board that never came, and just decided to leave
Absolutely racist and nasty staff.
Right before my turn, he was serving some folks and we saw him chatting happily. Attitude changed 180 degrees when he had to serve us two asians. I asked if he could explain the drinks and what he recommends, he gives a one liner and says “it’s up to you. ”
Probed again to ask to provide more details of the drinks, he gave a frustrated look and give a one liner. I wonder why is there such a difference in attitude?
Granted, scenery is beautiful but the staff whose name is Jesus, is just plain rude and takes away the joy of a supposedly beautiful experience.
Our group wanted champagne so we included Chandon in our itinerary. For our visit, much of the building is under construction so we were outside. The grounds are nicely laid out and the bubbles are great! We are looking forward to when the work is complete so that we could have a more complete experience.
Do not sign up for the Club Chandon membership unless you want to call about every single order to figure out why it has not shipped or was not created. Their support numbers go into a black hole and are only answered after hours on hold. Emails are often ignored and take weeks to get responded to. Shipments are ordered and sent a month later… with no remorse or apologies.
Your experience may vary, but I have experienced terrible customer service, a complete lack of transparency, and they really have no desire to help or inform the customer. I should not have to remember to call them and ask why something has not shipped or where my order is.
Will be canceling the wind club, despite the wine being decent.
Update (6/5/2023) :
I tried to cancel my membership in March. I got a confirmation email from Michael, saying ". In the meantime, I can confirm that we have completed your request to cancel your current membership. We are sad to see you go and look forward to hearing from you regarding any of the following offers available! " Lo and behold today I get an order confirmation from Chandon. Even after cancelling. Now to spend another hour on-hold trying to get in contact with them. Would not recommend this experience.
Place is nice but benefits of being a member will change depending on manger on turn. Might be best just for a stop rather than membership.
There's construction going on right now, but the place is still beautiful.
Aaron provided exceptional service.
Tis under construction at the moment so the experience isn't what it could be. Nice views. Friendly staff excellent sparkling wine. The sparkling red is the BEST BEST like nothing else out there.
So disappointing. Still charging $55 for tasting with construction on going. Service was mediocre. Save your money for Domaine Carneros.
Wine was great, the grounds were beautiful, and the staff were outstanding. I’ll definitely be back. Portion sizes were large as well
I love the Chandon tasting experience. It's more akin to being at a restaurant. Guests are seated at a table and servers make the pours with a brief presentation. No pressure, nice view of the lawn. Beautiful property although, tours weren't offered summer 2022.
Lauren is awesome. She helped us fine-tune our tasting so it was fun, romantic and just right!
A little mix up at the beginning with our large group was quickly resolved and we had a lovely time. Delicious food, great staff, and top notch ambiance. Would recommend and can’t wait to come back.
The experience was a bit disappointing, and I don't think we will be back here. I made reservations ahead of time, the grounds are under construction, which we already knew when booking and didn't mind. However, they have a tiny room where everyone is crowded. We were seated right next to the entrance. Counter high table was plastic, tiny, and nlt sturdy with high metal bar chairs.very uncomfortable. The champagne was ok, we only liked one kind. Pizza was really good. There was almost no interaction, the server said a few words every time she would bring champagne and then dissappear. The vibe was very boring, couldn't sit and relax and couldnt walk around the property either. At the end, when we asked about how much the bottle of champagne costs that we liked, server said she will find out and get back to us and never did.
