Chantico Inn & Suites, Ojai CA

Definitely had everything we needed. Nice rooms with pool and jacuzzi. Very close to everything.

Having my return visit to Ojai extended, always a great place. Local vibes and people. Peaceful and chill

They charged my deposit, but they only refund part of deposit. Be careful, they stolen money.

Everything was great. Just wish the TV had local channels. Could not watch 49ers vs Rams football game in the room or any football games for that matter or local news.

Dear Chantico Inn,

We just visited and we were surprised that the room was dirty. There were left over fries and juice boxes left under our beds. I can feel the dirt on my feet as I walked around and showered. This was not our first visit and we were shocked to see that the place seems in demise. The Chantico Inn we remember was beautiful, charming, clean, and magical. Please bring it back again as this place is so worth it. The magic is still there but it deserves a lot of love and cleaning. Maybe it’s also time to upgrade the toilet seats and furnitures. Please restore it to it’s former glory! Hot tub and pool area is still very beautiful! Thank you for listening to my constructive criticism!

I’ve stayed at this hotel for the last three years always have had good service prices are very reasonable a lot of shopping centers within walkable distance the hotel is placed in a very good location.

I had a wonderful stay at chantigo, beds were comfortable and the kids enjoyed the heated pool and they had very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend

The most beautiful, luxurious, complete hotel ive ever booked. Not only that but it is in a divine location in the heart of Ojai. Beautiful services and amenities offered. Hot tub is amazing and the aesthetic is very Venusian and Royal. Love this hotel. Definitely recommend even for the royal.

My stay at Chantico Inn was an enjoyable experience. Plans to stay with family fell through due to illness and I didn’t think I’d find an affordable hotel in beautiful Ojai but then came across Chantico Inn. I was very surprised by the pricing & it was less expensive booking directly with the hotel website.
My second floor king room had a fireplace/jacuzzi, an antique oak dresser for the wet bar, the same for the bathroom vanity with a stone basin, a separate tub & shower and a large flatscreen with live tv & many streaming services. I also appreciated the availability of outlets near the bed for electronics. A little refrigerator that was actually cold unlike some hotels, and a microwave was in the room as well. There was sort of a shabby chic eclectic mix of Spanish/ Victorian feel to the room.
There is an iron gate with a sitting area outside each room to sit and enjoy the breeze & morning sunrise over the mountains. In addition, there are various patio areas to sit and read or socialize. The property ambiance & mission appearance includes the stucco & terracotta roof, archways & tiling throughout (stairs, rooms, walkways, etc.), the many varied palms in view of each room along with a mountain backdrop. Also, an outdoor pool and spa are ready for those so inclined. Have a continental breakfast in a tucked away sitting area that opens up onto an outdoor patio and enjoy a wine happy hour on weekends.
Chantico Inn is conveniently close to restaurants and shopping in Downtown Ojai. I had a pleasant & relaxing stay for five (5) days and would not hesitate to stay here again.

In town for a birthday ams this quaint Spanish style inn was just the right fit for the weekend. Comfortable and perfect location, really nice to be able to walk places.
For sure would stay here again.

Super location! My wife & I always stay here when seeing a show @ Libbey Bowl, (5 minwalk). Great walking distance to many restaurants.
We enjoy the pool& jacuzzi. Just a very comfortable stay.

I have stayed here maybe five or six times and I love it. It’s not the newest property but each room has charm and unique features. Excellent pool and hot tub. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars.

all the shops and restaurants in ojai.would recommend and stay again

This place is gorgeous. My room is BEAUTIFUL. It’s so clean. It has so much personality and it’s very comfortable. The staff is the best. Hands down. I’m looking to stay here a little while especially because of the amazing treatment by the staff. And my room has a jacuzzi. Damn.:)

This place was not what we were expecting. 2 young adults running it, no mature adult on site. There is something amiss with this place. Extremely unprofessional, Very aged place, no updates, ice machine broken, and from the looks broken for a long time. Hotel room had tile floors, they obviously are not mopped. Used a wash cloth and my feet were so dirty, it was disgusting. I was not happy. No coffee cups in room. Breakfast room does not open till 7: 30. No one answers after hours number.had to leave the building to get a cup of coffee. When on the 2nd day I finally spoke with a manager I was told bad service due to staff shortages and if I wanted something better, go stay at Ojhi inn, wish I had. Also on the day I complained, our room key got deactivated twice. What concerned us if it happened when no one was in that office, we would have been locked out of our room because no one answers the phone. There is something extremely sketchy about this place. Also they advertise a happy hour. That’s a joke, I went to get a glass of wine and they looked at me like I had 3 eyes and said come back later. They forgot to set it up, trash and broken microwave sitting around, staff people obviously live on site and take over the pool. Never seen anything like this place. Save your money, just beware. Also, just an FYI, they pay people for good reviews with a discount, SHADY!
