Charlie's Famous Fried Chicken, Los Angeles CA

So if you want some decent chicken that's close enough to grandma's, but not commercial, this is the place. It's something about the honey butter sauce on the spicy fried chicken that just sits right.

Some folk who don't know any better say the prices are high, but they eat at places like KFC and Popeyes, two places that don't come close to southern fried chicken.

You get your monies worth. They also have other items that are quite tasty, too. It's like a nice whole in the wall spot that'll get you right; like a Westcoast waffle house without the risks.

Best fried chicken around, with great service to boot. I have gotten free pieces several times. Good people. Only downside: if your girl likes coleslaw, they sell out fast. Other than that, flawless.

Damn, just tried this place for the first time and I’d give it 5 stars just for that honey butter. That stuff goes good on everything.

Great friends chicken, amazing collard greens, cajon corn is sinfully delightful.corn bread is made in the same oil as the onion rings so the bread absorbs the onion ring flavor but other than that the place is quite tasty

My cousin had the family over to her house on Easter Sunday and So I waltz into the kitchen I’m like cuzzo that bird smells good where you get that from? She tells me Charlie’s on Manchester! I’ve throw down on that bird before Oh My! The bird is delicious and it holds its crispiness the next day. Which is my personal litmus test! Try the garlic noodles it’s super phat and you can share with the family

First time having Charlie's and the spicy fried chicken wasn't spicy to me the fries was good tho

Maybe I got a bad batch. I ordered through Postmates and the chicken was very slimy underneath a fried coating. I try i again the next day. It was so gross, I couldn’t get a refund through PM /:

Seen this spot several times while shopping near by. Hot water corn bread I'm sold just like my grandmother's. The greens had flavor however missing that punch of bacon or extra fat. The chicken mind blowing 6 huge pieces pure white breast meat! Homemade BBQ sauce. Order ahead no dine in.

The chicken was very flavorful, delicious and slightly crunchy, the way I like it. The greens were extra delicious, like my family used to make them.

I tell everybody about thos spot. The chicken is lowkey gooood. The soy gain is good, the spicy isn't as spicy but when I bought 100 pieces for a party, we had nothing left afterwards. That's got to tell you something.

The fried chicken here is absolutely the best I've had in a long time it's not salty or greasy. What I really love about them is they have so many items to pick from and the wait time is not long

The chicken itself is well cooked and crisp, though the seasoning lacks any distinctive flavor and so scored low. The fries were perfect, crispy and well spiced. The macroni salad was great!

I didn't try any of their chicken. Had the onion rings. The serving was so small (no really small) for the price. They were just to salty for my liking.

$18+ including tax for five piece sweet and spicy mixed chicken, potato salad, 2 rolls, and 2 jalapenos. Two thumbs down. Literally fried chicken with a weird sweet and sour sauce thrown on top. So disappointed, the reviews here are great and THE ONLY REASON I CHOSE THIS PLACE.one bite

My first time ordering. They gave me more than what I asked for, but the chicken is so good. Light, crunchy & seasoned well.

I love this place may be a bit pricey but what good food establishment isn't lol. I've only try the chicken tenders and honey butter chicken I'm stuck on them. Call in order is a must?
