Chart Room Restaurant reviews
15Amazing food! Large portions. Highly recommend the clam chowder bread bowl. The long wait was made short by watching the sea lions climb the rocks outside. Great sunset as well.
We stopped for lunch.
Had the crab cocktail as an appetizer.
The half crab sandwich and cup of clam chowder was delicious!
We enjoyed our lunch very much.
The server was friendly and brought the meal in a timely manner.
The food was mediocre. My dungeness crab salad was served in a large bowl shaped like a seashell that rocked back and forth as I cut the large leaves of lettuce and chunks of tomato and cucumber.
Ordered prime rib and my boyfriend ordered steak & lobster. Waited an hour for the table. Was sat next to people (not a big deal), and overpaid for terrible food. Prime rib had no flavor. Didn’t leave full, Ended up eating Taco Bell when we left. Not worth the wait
You could tell they were VERY overwhelmed by the number of people tonight. Had to remind the waitress to give us silverware and drinks, but the food was superb!
Love the location and atmosphere. Very slow service. Way over priced and food was just average. I had the half crab sandwich and soup. There was hardly any crab on two average pieces of bread. It was a very small portion for over 18.00.
Came to celebrate a birthday at 4: 00 pm on a Sunday and had a 1/2 hour wait. Although I wasn't pleased with my dinner (mediocur hamburger) the others said their meals (New York steak/linguini) were excellent. Wait staff always appear rushed and short-staffed and customer service suffers a bit because of it. It's a great place to bring out of town guests due to the sea lions, pelicans, and cormorans but I wished they'd hire more people and remember customers are their business. Keep in mind if you're not paying with cash, they charge extra to pay by card. Makes a pricey restaurant even more so. But do have the chocolate cake - yum!
Every time I visit my Mom and Brother in Crescent City I have to stop by the Chart Room. Best Sea Food in town. The Scallops were delicious!
Worst place we ate at in Crescent City. Quality of the food was WAY less than the cost. There are far better options.
We've been going here for year's, never had a bad meal. You never leave hungry.
2022 update. The place has been sold. The place is not what it used to be. Tried it twice. I won't be back. Last week I was told that they didn't sell. 2023
The people that also drive in from afar that are sitting in with you are not the ideal clientele, in my eyes. The food was fried seafood fare.the interior kind of tacky and meh. The view was pretty good. It was the customers that just killed the vibe for me. It was not great. Also very expensive but I get it. Far from anything.
We ordered to go because it was less than an hour before closing and they were packed. The staff were soooo nice. They got our to go order in quickly. Everything we had was amazing. The only bad thing is that they're so far from our home. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Crescent City.
The food is delicious and absolutely worth the long wait times! It’s obvious they’re struggling with staffing issues — and let’s be real, almost every place is right now — but every employee we interacted with was incredibly friendly.
Great food and atmosphere! Waitress was very promt and fast. Sun sets right past the barking. Good local beers of tap as well. Perfect finish to a long day at the redwoods.
This restaurant was pretty busy and a little short staffed, but man am I so glad that we still patiently waited to get seated. The food here was fantastic! Everything we ordered was great and the service was still kind and attentive despite the crowd!
