Chasing Nostalgia reviews
6This is easily the best thrift store in Modesto.not only do they have those typical thrift store finds, but they are aimed towards pop culture. They have this cute hello kitty CD player playing all of the music in the store, and a corner of the shop that regularly changes to a different theme. Now if you love supporting small businesses this is the spot for you, not only are they themselves small, but they actually have several local artists selling their really well designed crafts in shop. Most recent thing I've bought here was a tasmanian devil backpack.
This place was pretty cool. Had a lot of vintage clothes, comics, video games, memorabilia, posters, etc. It's on the small side so it can get hot quick. Everyone in there is super nice. The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is because I went to buy a single item for $15 (at least that's what the tag said) and I ended up paying 40 bucks. Kinda weird. Not sure if it was on accident or intentional. But I definitely recommend people to be careful when paying and always double check the tags and make it's the price as advertised.
I needed a Hawaiian shirt for a Celebration of Life and happened to be visiting Modesto. I am disabled and was running out of physical energy. A call to the store resulted in John pulling all the Hawaiian shirts in my size so I didn't have to search the racks. He was so kind, took such good care of me, and I found the perfect vintage Hawaiian shirt I wanted. I highly recommend the store and its owners. Kudos to John & Brittany!
Really loved this place. Finally a place where you can get legit vintage clothing. Also brought back so many memories from my childhood.
The place was cool as hell but one of the works really had BAD BO and ruined my time at the place
I was disinterested in going to a new store because life is exhausting enough doing regular errands but my friend told me to go in. Welll. THANK GOODNESS I WENT IN. Modesto is not worthy. I love this spot and it has so many unique and amazing gems. Very cool shop.
