Cheers Deli & Liquor, San Diego CA

A nice, well stocked selection of drinks and snacks, more than I've seen at most other places. Their deli has an extensive sandwich list, and they are huge sandwiches, I tried the tuna and it was delicious paired with some chips and a drink, worth coming back to so I can try something new.

The sandwich’s are super tasty.
The only negative is not one employee making the sandwiches wore gloves. They were handling the sandwiches, bags, receipts, miscellaneous items all with hands.

Nothing wrong with the sandwich, but expensive for no-frills. (n.b. A "French roll" doesn't mean a crispy baguette-style roll, here, but a slightly wider hoagie/sub/grinder roll.) Pass on the little container of egg salad (?) that comes with it. I will obviously try again because. I love.sandwiches.

We ordered lunch for 26 from Golden Cheers-this was a huge order! We had the make-your-own deli sandwich platter along with potato salad, 3-cheese tortellini, Greek salad, and a fresh fruit platter. Each and every item was out-of-this-world delicious and we had leftovers that people fought over! Run, do not walk to Golden Cheers for lunch. Everything I have ever eaten from this establishment has been phenomenal! Thank you to Manny and his staff for getting it right every time!

We lived down the street from this great little place in 1999/2000. We STILL talk about how good the sub we loved, was. Turkey, tuna, provolone, avocado, lettuce, and a little red onion. Don’t try to understand it…just try it! It may have had tomato on it, but I can’t remember. So stinkin good! Glad to see they are still around!

Just stopped in for some water after my hike. The cashier was so kind! Excellent customer service! Will be back!

I was craving a good sandwich & dropped into this deli. I ordered their New Yorker & it was super yummy. The gentlemen behind the counter was very inviting & gave me a to go menu. They have a variety of options to choose from and can make hot or cold sandwiches. The service was good and fast, I will for sure visit this place again.

Crazy good sandwiches that will make you go back for more. The macaroni salad was among the best I've ever had, very smooth without being spicy.

I truly love this place. The people are so nice and the sandwiches there are amazing. If you haven't tried thus place you must. No kidding. Best sandwiches I have ever had.

I don't know I had to say mayo and mustard. The sandwich would have been better with Mayo and mustard. Other than that it was good.

You won't find a better deli sandwich anywhere, highly recommended. I live in the Neighborhood and have been a patron for years.

Was recommended by a friend. I had the Godfather. Hands down one of the best sandwiches ever. Super cool crew. My wife had a veggie melt and my daughter had the chicken. They were very impressed.

I highly recommend trying the “Godfather“ sandwich. Very tasty with a generous pile of meat. I stopped in for lunch the other day and they were busy, but still very quick getting my order out. Great place for lunch or dinner.

I came upon this place 12 years ago while I was in Grossmont College studying Catering Management. We had to write a business plan and do a restaurant comparison. This place isn't close, but we had business in the Keil's shopping center at Navajo and Jackson. I have heard bad stories from friends who went to an obscure deli. As soon as I walked into the liquor store, there are three employees in the deli! So, everything I had heard was true- amazing place which has had a line out the door at lunch time and they stay busy enough so I feel safe about eating there. The rest is a given. I don't know how many times I could come here before I have tried all the many kinds of sandwiches they have.

Best deli sandwiches in San Diego IMO. Old school with shredded lettuce, quality ingredients. The best! Try the TBAC, addictive.

This place is awesome! You literally can not go wrong. Generous portions and a huge menu selection. They also have convenience items & liquor. On top of all that, reasonable prices and friendly staff.
