Chef Ricks Ultimately Fine Foods reviews
19 We decided to go right after work so they were not even at half capacity.
Great food for both my wife and my self.
Flavorful. Big portions. Best food in town. Will go back and try the other savory items on the menu.
I was pleasantly surprised with the flavors and quality if ingredients- creative plates- food art!
Came in for dinner at about 715 which seems to be adequate time to sit an have dinner since they close at 8 but felt a bit rushed by service. The food was impeccable, as chef Rick knows how to infuse his southern style cuisine with modern American options as well. Didn't get asked if we had been there before, or if we had any questions about the menu. Nor did she offer any suggestions about the specials. Just felt like a burden of sorts. My mahi mahi was superb and my wife had the spinach ravioli and i had to scrape her plate it was so good. Rick is the man and highly recommend this restaurant but staff could be a little better in my opinion.
10/10 always a fantastic place to go. Be prepared to have leftovers and more delicious food for later.
Chef Rick's is a great place to eat, especially in Santa Maria. It's quite quirky, and I've never been to another restaurant quite like it. They also have a good selection of vegan items, but my favorite is the vegan crab cake.
A mixture of Mexican/southern food. They season everything really well, but it may be too much for your preference. I really like the jambalaya and the dessert, but the food is heavy. I’d go again depending on the occasion
From the moment you walk in the service is excellent! The coconut shrimp was such a treat. We had not seen shrimp this large in a long time, cooked to perfection, and served with an awesome sauce. Then, the grilled chicken "sandwich" we had split was so unique. It's hard to consider it in the category of a sandwich.wow, the flavors, the textures. The broccoli slaw served here is something to try also. Of course, save room for the decadent desserts, Even the decaf coffee was rich with flavor. Chef Ricks is not only excellent food (some of the finest found) it's an experience.
Oh come on! Best food in Santa Maria / Orcutt. I don’t care what you order, it’s fresh and healthy and the chef is back there sprinkling in the love of craft. It’s got a New Orleans vibe, but all California cuisine.
Rick is an amazing chef, a pillar to our community, and a great guy. My wife and I get the Mexican Patty Melt or the salmon salad, SOOOO good! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the avocado grilled cheese special. Food was fresh and very tasty. Service was excellent as well.
Amazing food but service was terrible. They were busy and tried to run us off by being extremely rude. We stayed for the food. And it was cold
Update: He never got back to me with gift certificate as promised
Their soups were probably the best I have ever had. We also had sandwiches which were also amazing. I also loved so many vegetarian options. It was hard to decide. So glad we tried this place!
The service was amazing! But for the price we will probably not return, except for maybe a burger. And the gluten-free options were sparse.
Received a gift card for Christmas for Chef Rick's. We were able to get 2 trips out of it and boy was it delicious! We got different things both times. I found the service to be fantastic, the food was presented beautifully, and everything tasted great. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the cold pad of butter served with the rolls because it was impossible to spread. The jalapeño cheddar rolls, however, were so good they made up for the butter.
I usually don't ever leave 1 star reviews, but the combination of mediocre food and expensive prices left us feeling very unsatisfied with our meal. The seasoned fries tasted only like paprika (and were dumped only the top layer), the coconut shrimp appetizer was $18 for just 3 shrimps, and the bbq lamb quesadilla was just not a well execution of that flavor combination. No complaints about the service, but the food and prices overwhelmingly influenced us to not come back
We visit and eat today.
We ordered Linguine and the friday special Burrito. Their serving size is so big.
The linguine was very mild in taste.
But the Friday Special Burrito. Its supper very Yummy and tastey.
Wonder dinner experience! The food was fresh & delightful tasty, I could eat there every day.
