Chef Wu's reviews
11It's closed Monday to Wednesday, and it's closed even if you go on Thursday. Well done.
Got Flies in my food, when I let people know they just told us to leave very rude and disrespectful no apology. Wouldn’t recommend this place
Had a terrible experience recently. Went on a date here we both ordered the spicy beef soup and it was not good, very oily little flavor and we noticed a fly in it after eating we were disgusted. The utensils were not clean and when we showed the fly we found in our soup to the staff the did not apologize and were rude to us and told us to leave. Very upsetting experience.
Service is really nice here and they probably won't be very busy. Their you tiaos were fried super well and their sweet and salty soymilks were so warm and served immediately to us.

Gotta show some love to this local super authentic Taiwanese restaurant. Come here for some taiwanese breakfast specials and enjoy the friendly environment, or the delicious carbs.
The food comes out fast and is served in pretty large quantities. I do think some could be flavored a bit more strongly, but you can ask them for sugar or sauces etc.
Cash only here. There is a small parking lot that should have spots available. Enjoy!
The worker was rude and rushing me on the phone while i was trying to place a to go order.and the place only accepts cash
The pork ribs are delicious, and the sesame seed fried dough sticks are also deliciousThe fried cabbage has the taste of Taiwan
Update: this place does the Taiwanese breakfast on the next level. It has all my dreamy fresh soy milk fantasies coming true! Get one of everything! Definitely worth the drive (just check their hours)
This is a secret crown jewel in Newark. Be aware it is cash only no credit card. Don't let the interior scare u.
Traditional Taiwanese breakfast style. Sweet soy milk is pretty good. Their fried dough is the type not fried on spot but pre-fried so not crunchy but chewy.
<Ammonia Contaminated food> Chef wu’s used to be my go-to restaurant when I missed Chinese breakfast! Not anymore. This morning, I picked up two Chinese Doughnuts and got home and toasted them to keep the crispiness but immediately smelled Ammonia from the doughnuts! Disgusting! I ran back to Chef Wu’s and asked for explanations, only received “we are sorry, here is your refund”. No further explanation of why and how the cleaning products got into the dough and food.
Be Aware of what you get at Chef Wu’s! They don’t provide the receipt and it’s cash only, if you get food poisoning from their food, there’s no way to prove the purchase!
