Chef's Phở & Grill, San Marcos CA

It pains me to say this because I was hoping this place could be a good option in the future. Ordered the large pho chicken noodle. Everything was as expected EXCEPT the actual Pho. It was as if it was watered down. It was almost clear and tasted like water & plastic. Plastic could be from the container it was packed in. But the water aspect is unacceptable. Especially for $16!

Beware, place closes at 8 for dine in, and they told me they only process to go order from 8 to 9. Don’t waste your time driving there like we did.

The vegan Phở is very delicious and I also love the tofu fresh rolls. I've introduced a few of my meat eating friends to this restaurant also and they were very happy with their food.

Staff is friendly. My wife and I eat a lot of pho and thought that the pho here was decent. The spring rolls and beef stew pho were ok. Overall not our favorite pho place in the area but wouldn't say that it is bad.

The place is good and the food! Except one the server attitude problem need to fired that guy!

I'm simply in love with this place, the food is always nice, and hot ready to go. No long wait and it's a great place to dine in.

Very nice modern decor. Bummie sammies and egg rolls were very good! Satisfying and reasonable price. I'd like to come back for pho next time:)

Love this spot for a relaxed meal. Staff is super friendly and helpful - they will answer any questions you may have about the food items and suggest items if you want to try something new. The pho is delicious, but try the chef's curry! You can't go wrong with any of the Spring rolls and though it is isn't on the menu you can get a half order of the egg rolls (3pcs).

Got the chef pho (item 1) and the pho was good. The broth is flavorful and the meat portions were good. Given the price, it was of good value and justifies future visit for pho.

The Thai iced tea was not bad either. A little on the sweet side, but it gets the job done.

Always delicious! Great place! People are nice, very cozy, with a decent open dining area. Charming aesthetic. Fast service, as well. Stop by, when you can!

What a fantastic find! I Stopped in for a quick bite while I was early for my Kaiser appointment. Had a great beef pho, But will definitely come back here when I'm in the area. The interior is much nicer than you might think by looking at the outside. They serve beer and wine and have a quaint little dining area. The service was fantastic and I definitely recommend this dish!

It's Monday night at 6: 49pm. It says Mon-Sun closes at 9pm. It's pitch black in there with the doors locked. Thanks for nothing!

2021-1106: Typical Vietnamese restaurant. My wife likes their pho’s. We seem to favor this place more than few of the others. Service was good and energetic.

I really like this place a lot, they make a very good pho but today I am going a bit dispassionate because it is not the first time that I go and today when I buy a chai tea the boy said that I did not fill it saying that why I asked With little ice then they only give it full for the ice or that I didn't even put milk on it like they give me the truth if I'm somewhat dispassionate

The best beef stew and grilled pork around!
Can't say I've ever had either a bad meal or bad service.
