Chen's Chinese Restaurant, Long Beach CA

Portions are truly enormous. $11 for back plate (kung pao bean curd) and $14 for front plate (lemon chicken). Tastes great too. Service was fast at dinner time on a Thursday.

Being going there for a while prices are decent, but noticed that they keep changing ownership it seems like also have a different chef because the always tastes different.

They've changed hands. It's not the same old Chen's. Some people might enjoy the new tastes. Same old menu but lacking in quality. Great and friendly waitstaff.
Hoping to change this review soon.

Food is not as good as it use to be and definitely neither are the prices. Before my ticket was about $75 now it is $130.
I'll have to save money for my next visit.

I ordered here because the reviews had so many pictures of the food that just looked so fresh and appetizing. My food was old. The rice was old and dry. The meat was grey and chewy. Didn't even taste like chicken. More like some chewy plastic. Waste of 13$.

Good Chinese food. Parking on the road there is a dedicated lot nearby. Ambiance is good but there is typical musky smell not overpowering. Food portions are big so order carefully. BBQ steak was super, sesame chicken was too sweet and broccoli too big. Chicken fried rice, kungpoa shrimp were delicious. Steamed dumplings was very dry not great. Overall a good Chinese restaurant in downtown Long Beach

WORST SHRIMP EGG FOO YOUNG.shrimp (1) in the container of sauce not in the egg patty. The egg patties are full of diced white onions. Full refund.got Thai omelet instead.

First time here and will definitely be coming back prices where affordable especially for the amount they give you food was delicious and the staff where amazing place is cute and cleaned.

Chen's Egg foo young tastes amazing and you can make any entree a dinner combo with soup, rice, and an egg roll for a couple extra dollars.

Tried this place for the first time and wow! Over the top amazing, everything is so tasty! Top quality chicken and veggies, huge portions and delivery came lightening fast. We will be back again soon!

Jenn’s restaurant is a Chinese staple in downtown Long Beach. The food is always delicious a good value for the menu and not too busy and it has a parking lot after the same five stars.

Tasty with plenty to share. Get the combination appetizer and an entree that comes with steamed rice. Two people would save some money.

It's your typical Chinese restaurant. However, I was not to impressed with the food here I got the Chen Fried rice which is basically a combo fried rice. The rice was very oily and I could tell that they skimped on the protein inside. Didn't finish my rice because of how greasy it was nor was I happy with the lack of protein inside mostly pure rice. I don't think I'll eat here again.

Was very good! Everything was so fresh and it's better to order directly from them for delivery, Uber eats charges 5$ more per dish and the delivery fee for this place is only 2$. They get my money over Uber eats any day

Love their food some servers are are very good they make you feel like family our one server is always there for us and knows my order by heart. Sweet and Sour Chicken and Walnut Shrimp are my number one items and their egg rolls and pot stickers oh yeah! Love them. Their Jasmine tea is so sitting and delicious! Prices are very good for the amount of food you get. Always the best experience

This is good chinese food. Located on Broadway. Parking available in lot. Family friendly location. Yummy tasty food. The service is friendly and the food was ready quickly. Special thank you to our hostess Crystal. She is accommodating and helpful throughout the dining experience. We had a group of about 13 people. Everyone had a nice evening. Food is served for group eating. Great place for friends and family.

Good food. The waiters are very friendly people and they are very passionate. I would recommend the compou chicken. Its REALLY good.
