Chicken Lisa's and Your Mexican Favorites

First time visiting this restaurant. Fantastic food and great service! Salsa choices were phenomenal.

Good buddy lives right next door to this place, if you've never been it's perfectly placed in a corner spot at the neighborhood plaza. I got a couple beers (Societe/Stone) and I got the Super Quesadilla which was great, the in house salsa with the chips were also nice. I'd be stoked to be someone that lives in the area because I could see myself becoming a regular here. Great TV's to watch the game and or a nice spot to have a date night. Great business!

Food is always good, salsas are excellent. Never have to wait long, even when they are busy. We eat there often.

An incredibly unique place complimented by an amazing staff. Never have I ever had spanish cuisine in the way that this place prepared it. "Homestyle Mexican food" is the only way I can put it. Great restaurant with an awesome bar attached to it. Definitely coming back.

Rightly named because the chicken is the best around. My go-to is the chicken fajita burrito.

For first timers, they're in the middle corner of the shopping center which can be hard to spot.

Great food and huge portions as well. I always get the Enchiladas which comes with all the fixings. Always delicious.

I picked up for a large group. They had the order ready when promised and helped me load it into my car. The person who helped made sure I knew how to transport the beans since they have a tendency to spill over if they are not handled correctly.

The food was delicious. We had carnitas, egg salad, beef tacos, chicken tacos, beans, rice, and chips.

They got my order wrong, which is forgiveable. When I called about it, and the rude employee explains it by saying, "I heard Supreme Burrito, not Supreme Quesadilla, Sorry! " and hanging up, it is not forgiveable. That, combined with the bland food, and incredibly long wait for our order, makes this an incredibly disappointing experience.

Best Mexican food and chicken in North County. Chicken is so fresh made, beans are so flavorful, soup is so tasty, best carne asada burrito. Recommended highly if you are in Escondido?

Tucked away - found on our way to winery nearby. Veggie burrito was great, fresh guac! Chicken taco combo received high rating from my husband. Would come again

I've been going there since it opened as I lived across the street. Now I live across town and still go out of my way to go there. I have not ever had something to eat there that wasn't top notch. On top of the great food, the people have always been great! I'm not exaggerating when I say this is our go to place about 4 plus times a month and some times more. Thanks for everything!

This place deserves 5 stars because the food is so good and you can tell its not a smack together out the door type without giving thought to what's being served. The carnitas was great and didn't have all the gross fat you get at other places. Beans, rice, tortillas, chicken, and even the salad was super delicious. I highly recommend!

Chicken Lisa's is the closest place to our home to grab a quick bite, so we come here frequently. Sometimes it's a 3 star experience, sometimes it's a 4. We've had great meals, fresh food, wonderful service. But sometimes our food comes out cold, or our takeout orders have been wrong. However, we still prefer to continue supporting a local small business than go elsewhere. We have definitely been visiting Chicken Lisa's more often since they added the bar next door. (Worth mentioning that its Beer + Wine + Premixed Cocktails only)
