Chili's Grill & Bar, Fontana CA

I have never had a bad experience at a Chili’s restaurant. They are all very consistent. Good food, friendly servers, and good service. This was how our visit at this Chili’s started. This rating is only specific to my experience at this location. Our server Shawn was awesome! Super friendly and attentive, even till the end (as we were heading out the door). During our meal, my husband commented that the fajitas at this location were the best compared to all the Chili’s locations we’ve gone to. Our visit quickly took a turn at the end before paying our bill. I’m absolutely shocked by the professionalism of the manager on duty on 7/12/23 at around 4pm. She handled the situation terribly and clearly needs additional training. Especially on customer service. At checkout, we decided to use our gift cards, that were gifted to us, towards our bill. We tried making the payment on the tablet and it didn’t going through. I called the number on the back of the cards which stated there was $50 on each gift card. We called Shawn over to communicate the issue. She took the gift cards and after some time, the manager comes to our table with the cards. We told her that she could call the number on the back of the cards. We communicate with her that we called and that each card has $50 on them. She takes the cards again. This time, she comes back with a loud voice so that the whole dining area can hear the issue we are having. She LOUDLY states that there is no money on the cards. She didn’t even bother calling. This was absolutely embarrassing and insulting as she made it seem like we didn’t have the money to pay for the bill. Pure unprofessionalism and she didn’t even realize what she did wrong. We didn’t get a normal response. Not a “sorry we tried but the cards aren’t working”. Simple. We would have understood. This would be a normal way to handling this situation. Not coming out with a chip on your shoulder and yelling that there is no money on the cards. We were so embarrassed we just wanted to leave. We told her not to worry about it and that we would pay with our debit card. We have the money unlike she made it seem. Just thought we could utilize the gift cards we were gifted. On our way out, we had Shawn apologizing and offering for us to take a molten home for the inconvenience. Obviously everyone else realized how unprofessional her actions were and how poorly she handled this situation. Get her trained to better her people skills.

Our server Kirsten was kind and lovely. I was with my Octogenarian friend who used a cane and both arriving and departing the employees were kind and thoughtful to open both sets of doors and very welcoming. I had not seen my friend in a few years so when we let her know we’d be hanging out a bit to catch up she was very accommodating and kind and of course provided great service.

We meet up here once a month for drinks and appetizers. There are a few staff members that recognize us when we come in and make us feel like celebrities.
A welcoming place. And the Cajun pasta is my very favorite, with shrimp.

We had a great experience here Friday evening. Service was great, food was great and everyone was friendly.

Over all it was nice and clean service was good and the food was good my chicken strips were a lil dry.

We went out as a family and we had fun thank you to our waitress she was awesome. Since the passing of my mother things have been difficult and hard. I just want to say thank you for putting a smile on my face.

Normally I really enjoy Chili's, but this last time the ribs were overcooked. However, they are generally consistent in taste and texture so it must have been an off day.

Consistent, have to keep trying everything in hopes of finding something I like enough to keep ordering it. So far the chicken enchilada soup and chips and salsa is as close as I can get.

Large and spacious location with the great Chilis menu you can count on. Great place for meeting family, a birthday, weekend lunch. My only gripe is the parking lot and wild traffic pattern within the shopping center. I’m sure locals are pros at navigating this but if you’re just passing through it takes some skill! Great and friendly staff.

Still a little noisy but I guess that's normal for Chili's. Our server, Cat (Catherine) was awsome. Always checking back. Watched our table every time she walked by. Very personable. Our Ancho Salmon was the best. Cooked perfect on both orders.

Restroom were close do water problem there were closing went we got there like 15 minutes.not very satisfie.

Food was good. The service was excellent. My son is autistic and Faith went above and beyond to make my son comfortable, she patiently show him the menu and helped him to decide what to order. We are very thankful for the kindness she showed to my son.

My server honestly was the best part.she was super friendly and attentive. She was helpful in assisting my cousin with the kiosk table payment and coupon. Good food great atmosphere couldn't have went better
