I will do everything that I can not to fly with this company.
Poor customer service.
And when you are dissatisfied
With there so called arrangements for handicap people, they threatened to kick me off flight. SFO to TPE
8/28/23. I fly EVA or KA now. Every 6 months

I am Japanese, and I received a lot of relief money from the people of Taiwan after the Great East Japan Earthquake. I wanted to give back, so I flew with China Airlines and used Ontario International Airport. I was impressed by how kind the flight attendants and staff at China Airlines were and answered my questions in the Japanese they knew. Before the in-flight meals and drinks arrived, I went to the airport restaurant Brewery Everyone from Taiwan, China Airlines, and everyone from Ontario will use our service again.thank you very much. When I travel to Taiwan. I always fly on China Airlines. I never go to LAX anymore. I can fly China Airlines out of Ontario International Airport with daily flights to Taipei Taiwan. I live in Orange County and Ontario Airport is super close and hassle free. Its terrible driving all the way to LAX. China Airlines Ontario Cal is a wonderful alternative to LAX. Ontario also has plenty of nice parking options. Please check it out and you will be happy.

Love flying China Airlines. Flown many times with them very good service. Recommend to everyone

My only issue is carry on limit. 7kg is fn ridiculous. That’s 15 lbs.sounds like a lot but a roller bag is nearly half the weight. I can pack 30 lbs in roller. There’s plenty of space so why harass customers about carryon? Check in 2 hours before. Normal for big airplane at little airport? Nbd. Saw worse on AA intl during COVID. No line 4.5 hours before. Or checkin online advance. I got LAST ROW middle MIDDLE seat even tho I checked in 24 hour advance. Never happened in 10 years. The fn airline claimed to sell every seat. I didn’t know it was low cost carrier. Checkin Line was 1 hour. Plus 45 minutes security and then the passengers not tired of queueing, queued for 30 minutes boarding. Just 2 groups and both groups queued in advance of having their group called.

The flight and food was on par. I don't like their strict carry-on policy that only gives 15lbs allowances while most international airlines gives 22lbs for carry-on. However, it was a nightmare when I forgot my item on the plane. The do not have staff to answer phone. I was told by the Taipei ground crew to file Loss & Found when I got back. It charged me $37 just to submit the report with no one ever contacted me whether the item was found or not. Worse yet, the emails I sent to both L&F page and the airlines' customer services got bounced! I had to complain to Paypal where I paid the report fees to get refund! I'll never ever fly this airlines again! They do NOT have customer services at all!
