Chow To Go Chinese Restaurant, Stockton CA

This place is a little hidden gem. Definitely a mom and pop shop. Mom runs the counter and helps cook and pop cooks! It’s located behind Shirasoni and Aldelberto’s in the shopping center on the north west corner of Hammer and Kelly.

I was starving when I went there tonight. I thought I ordered enough for two meals but come to find out I ate most of it tonight!

I ordered dried fried ribs, chicken in foil, and a combination plate consisting of chow mein, fried rice, Sweet-and-sour pork, three fried shrimp.

The chicken in foil was probably the highlight of my dinner. Chow mein was good. The rice was meh. Sweet-and-sour pork was good and seemed like it was cook fresh. The fried shrimp were large and tasty. Quite a bit batter but the batter was not heavy. The dry fried ribs were OK. I’m not sure I would order them again. Instead I’ll try something else. But if you haven’t had them I would recommend trying them!

Their prices are fair. It’s been several years since I’ve been here. The lobby keeps getting smaller as they use part of it for storage and block it off. There were no chairs to sit and wait. I had to wait for my meal for 10 to 15 minutes
and I would’ve appreciated a chair to sit this old tired body on.

I asked for a paper copy of the to go menu. None available. Evidently the prices change so fast they can’t keep up with it. So I posted some photos of the menu they had taped to the window.

I will return!

Some really good Chinese food here for such a small place. Wendy always greets you & takes your order quickly. Lunch specials are excellent in taste & price. Love to order chicken noodle with wantons soup in the winter so delicious! Generous portions & very reasonable prices.

I love the food I orderIv'e been comming for years but, they need to keep the windows and atmosphere clean and presentable. It's time to get new picture's of the food they serve. With that being said I highly recomend the shrimp fried rice, the shirmp chow mein and the dry fried ribs are just too good. They are always fried crispy and dusted to absolute perfection. Believe me when I tell you that they will always get these three dishes right every time.

This is the most bad food I ever had at a Chinese food restaurant the eggrolls are bad it has no taste and the oringe chicken is very bad and the rice has zero flavor

1st timer. Great portions, delicious food! Reasonably priced. Dinner for 3 and lemon chicken around $40. Sauce for the prawns is extra btw. I've been wanting to try this place and I'm so glad we did! Yummy! Can't wait to go back!

Ok wow! I just had this place for the first time and oh my! Sooooo good! We got the family dinner for 5 and it came out to like 43 bucks and lemme tell you, so worth every cent! So good!

Always happy with the food and service here. Prices are more than fair and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend.

The place doesn't look like much but the food is good and it's inexpensive. Lemon chicken and the oyster beet is really good!

The worst experience ever. The lady at the front counter is very rude and very unprofessional. As i waited about 15 min at the counter while she kept going back and forth from answering phones and cooking food.not once washed her hands. So as i tried to wait patiently hoping she not8ces 4 customers waiting to order. So i finally spoke up and said hey can i order and the lady literally yelled "WHAT DO YOU WANT". It was the worst customer service ever. I just turned away and walked out. You don't treat ppl like that. I will nevergo back!

I love their food.but today they got my wrong order.i ordered a party plate of chow mein with shrimp.and i got fried rice thats not what i wanted.but besides that food is great.

Absolutely love this place. Sesame chicken and the fries rice are my favorites on the menu.

I frequent this unique place once a month since I enjoy the ambiance that is part of this restaurant. The personel is very cordial and professional. The service is remarkablywonderfully efficient. Not to mention, the food they serve is outstanding. I came more than once and I was never disappointed. The pay is reasobable. I suggest this place to all my friends.
