Chula Vista DMV reviews
17This DMV needs a remodel. It's always a blast from the past. But what more do you need but a clean office environment to get through many of life's important appointments
Went in no appointment and was able to get out of there in less than an hour doing both a license renewal and registering a new vehicle. Mirella is the woman who helped me and she’s a rock star.
I'm a handicapped person living on SSDI and Waited 45 minutes to get a one day permit because my car fail the SMOG TEST and was on PNO and was told I need to pay 2 years of registration to get a one day permit, Now I have to wait until August 3rd and repay for the SMOG TEST.to save on one year of registration, I don't think is fair being handicapped.
Honestly they just want easy money and the bitter employees just looking at the clock waiting to get off work.
Worst customer service due to the staff say they can not muti task when all you have is a question and they get frustrated fast with you when u don't know what steps to take next they need to be trained better to speak with customer
I hope that lady sees this. She was being an as*hole every lady that helps me out there is always rude. I took the behind the wheel test today I wasn’t nervous at all til she started talking loud. She got green eyes and a tattoo on her arm. Literally everytime I go they’re being a holes. I do not recommend this place. She had me sooooooooo fed up.
I had a place in line when I arrived so the wait wasn't too bad. Everyone was kind and helpful, the lady who processed my: payment, the lady who took my picture and the lady who set me up for the knowledge test. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly they were.
No appointment, waited an hour to get to the counter, waited 20 minutes for number to be called, their computers crashed while I was at the counter.
Everyone was so nice and friendly. There was no long wait, well not a very long wait lol. Other then that wow. Chula vista DMV is fast and efficient.
Do not come here, everyone who works he is just rude and unhappy. The worst experience of my life. I watched as Mary Lou yelled/raised her voice at elderly people and the hard of hearing simply for not being able to hear her whispers. She was very rude and disrectful to everyone who was in her line today which happened to be anyone getting a license or ID today
People were helpful, I was grateful. You wait for a while but as long as you have everything you need they are fast. I got my car registration the same day.
We got here on a Thursday around 4: 25pm. There was a lil line out the door but once we got in, the front desk person was not helpful at all. She said we had to go online to get some code for a replacement ID. She didn’t tell us we had to create an account or answer questions. And the other person at the front desk was like a time keeper telling everyone we only had a certain amount of time. Which was kind of helpful. But by the time we did get a code for the ID we were 1 min too late. She said “ they took our tablets from us, you have to come back tomorrow “. Unbelievable! This is not how I remember getting a replacement ID. We had all of our paperwork filled out but that didn’t matter. So if your coming here for a replacement anything make sure you go online first create your account answer all the questions and get your code then come into THIS DMV to get it done. I don’t know if all the DMV’s are doing this but the last time I got a drivers license at a different location it definitely wasn’t like this. So be prepared and come at least an hour and half before closing to make sure you can get it done. Oh and they really weren’t that helpful with the creating an account process either so Good luck…
There's no clear indicator showing that they have a renewal kiosk inside and when you find it there's no official line and the machine only takes cash or doesn't tell you until you go through all the prompts
Terrible people working here, they think they have the power of the world in their hands. Terrible verification, terrible driving testers.
Warning!
Certifiers at this DMV are lazy and dont follow rules and law. They will just refer you to highway patrol for no reason. Just because they can make people's life miserable like theirs.
I've lived in San Diego area for several years now. I've been to this location 6 times. The service here Is unbelievable. Everyone I encountered this morning to get a real ID helped me all in a positive manner. I really like the work environment they have there as one team. I will continue to gonto the chula vista DMV.
It wasn't too crowded but my visit was to tie loose ends initiated through their virtual DMV process. The rep wanted to charge me again for registration when I had already paid. Why couldn't she see that in her system?
Worst customer service!
I brought all the information that I needed, don’t know why DMV hires rude employees!
Also I saw how a Mexican employee with her Mexican t-shirt of football was very rude with Mexicans she was only nice with people who spoke English. Latinos don’t go to window 24! You deserve better! They are racist with their own people …….
