Churchill Cocktail Bar reviews
8This place is amazing! Not crazy about the historical connection, but as the bartender explained-it could have something to do with being on Church st! The cocktails are adventurous and they are generous with their pours. Really yummy concoctions. Mellow vibes and no obnoxious drunk people witnessed on a Friday night. Nothing to eat, but plenty of options available around.
Some friends reserved this bar for a birthday party. I never knew you could do that. What a novel idea? !?
Churchill is a very clean, casual bar. Current but not trendy or hipster.
This place was really cool one night with a cool bartender but the next day, me & my friends went again but there was a different bartender (a man with a big beard) & when he would ask my friends & I our ID, & he would make comments like “i don’t know, you guys are barley 21” “you guys don’t look 21” but we literally are, we just all turned 21 recently. He was just very hostile and weird
Above average bar! They give the most generous portions to their drinks and the drink and bartenders are definitely worth coming more than once! I’ve never had a night at Churchill I didn’t enjoy.
I came for a engagement party that they were having in the space upstairs. It was very nice.
Nice dimly lit vibe at night with chill music. They have wifi so a cool place to sit and work too if you want. Drinks are good but not great
A really nice place to stop by and grab a drink off of market. It is across from the Woodhouse. Stopped by this place with a group of about four people. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday night but we were able to get our drinks pretty quickly. We also got lucky and found a table as people were leaving.
I just want to describe the clientele with one quick story. We were sitting there and enjoying our drinks catching up with someone beside us dropped their drink and it shattered all over the floor. One of the guys yelled party foul and slapped me on the back asking if I agreed. He also shook me and said "what up bro? " Ugh what up bro indeed. The guys proceeded to push their feet around in the alcohol spreading it and making jokes and slapping each other all over. I avoid this by not going to the Marina but sometimes it leaks out all over the city.
The drinks were decent, didn't get a chance to try any of the cocktails. Liked the look of the place it was great lighting and a convenient location. I don't go out in the area much so don't know the better alternatives. But you could do worse and likely better than Churchill.
A nice little bar! The service was a bit slow which is why I rated a little lower, but I liked the “it’s all Izzy” drink and found it convenient that the bar didn’t have a busy line to get in so we were seated immediately. They also had a pool table and plenty seating.
