I'm overdue for this review, but I stayed here with my mom in October 2022 for our 30th/60th birthdays. Overall, it was definitely worth staying here over a chain hotel. Breakfast every day was delicious, and it was great to interact with other guests. Location was excellent, super easy to get to Sonoma Plaza, as well as travel all around the area. We would definitely come back!

My in-laws came to town to visit and booked a room here. There was a fire hazard. It was absolutely filthy.

There were candy wrappers and a half eaten cookie on the floor. Hair and blood stains on the sheets. There was two oil heaters and one of them had no legs and was leaning up against the wall very close to the drapery. Fire hazard. When my father-in-law walked back to the office to tell them that the room wasn't okay, an older woman with blonde hair yelled at him in front of two other customers claiming he was insulting her hotel and told them to leave. He wasn't really rude. He was very straight-forward and he and his wife didn't deserve that kind of treatment. We luckily found them another place.

My father in law realized he still had the room key. I went back with my mother in law. She gave her the key. The blonde woman didn't apologize, just said thanks as pleasantly as she could while clearly feeling pretty awkward. My mother in law is a saint and I didn't get into it with this woman as I wanted to respect my mother in law's values of kindness.

Sonoma is a smaller town. It's way bigger than the back country road community I grew up in, but people around here seem to all know each other. She probably thought they were a couple tourists not realizing that she's going to see me and my husband around town.

The Cinnamon Bear Creekside Inn is a fantastic place to stay! We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. The hosts, Karen and Larry are phenomenal. Breakfast was delicious and the spread they put on for happy hour was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Karen and Larry as well as other guests throughout our stay. The Inn is very homey and our room was clean and comfortable. We hope to be back again soon.

The Managers, Karen and Larry, are what makes this place so special. They truly care about their guests and want to make sure they have a wonderful experience. Karen makes a full homemade breakfast and happy hour is full of more incredible dishes that she creates as well as delicious Sonoma wine. They go out of their way to do whatever is needed to make your stay excellent. The grounds are quaint and situated close to the river and there is a nice outdoor atrium with tables and chairs and pretty flowers. Don’t bother to look any further this place is the best!

Karen, Jerry and Bo run a beautiful B&B at Cinnamon Bear Creekside Inn! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff, the hospitality and the food! There is a happy hour where you get to meet other guests and chat with delicious appetizers and a glass of wine. And breakfast left nothing to be desired! It was delicious, prepared with care, and they cater to guests with allergies or food sensitivities. If we make another trip out to Sonoma we will absolutely make sure there is room at the inn for our stay ️

Our stay at Cinnamon Bear Inn was wonderful! The hosts, Karen & Larry, were amazing. We’re both a little shy so weren’t sure how we’d feel about the social hour & community breakfast, but they were so comfortable and so fun! We loved meeting the other guests and sharing stories. Karen explained the wine passport and we were able to Uber to a few wineries to take advantage of it. The walk to the square doesn’t take too long and there’s so much to see and enjoy there too! Thanks for a wonderful stay! And the breakfast was amazing! We had to stay somewhere else our last night because they were full and Karen still invited us to breakfast our final morning:)

We had a wonderful time at Cinnamon Bear Inn! The inn is beautiful and the rooms are lovely, it is also within walking distance of the Sonoma Plaza. The best part of our stay was the wonderful couple who manage the inn, we enjoyed talking to them daily, breakfast was amazing every day and the happy hour was lovely!

We stayed 3 nights and can’t wait to come back thanks to the hospitality of Innkeepers Karen & Larry and their lovely dog Beau that spent the days basking in the sun.

We arrived several hours early to drop our luggage and recommendations. Karen greeted us, explained the Wine Passport, suggestions for next few days and invited us to the afternoon cocktail drinks/app happy hour. Our room was just cleaned and able to bring bags upstairs. We stayed in the Sarah Vaughan room: adorable room with soaking jetted tub.

Thanks to Karen’s suggestions, we went to the Landmark Vineyard and loved the floral grounds and bocce court and Kenwood for a tasting before returning for the Inn’s happy hour: blow away with their delicious apps and glass of Kenwood wine. Guests were chatty and lots of good tips shared on tastings in the area.

Breakfast was served at 8: 30 with fruit, pastry, fluffy quiche, sausage and coffee. We explored the area and returned to another wonderful happy hour with stuffed mushrooms and cheese board.

The Inn is perfectly located walking distance to downtown Sonoma and a must see.

Karen & Larry are amazing hosts and we truly will be back.

An interesting experience… Karen who has taken over the inn for the last month is quite a scary woman, seemed nice and offered wine then immediately said “well I dont usually do this past X time” and was quick to say “ONE glass only” (she was the one who offered!) and was very extreme about exact times everyone was at breakfast (8: 30-9: 30 ONLY! Someone showed up at 9: 50 and she said they could have coffee only). She seemed very stressed and passive aggressive and we were all a bit wary of her. The inn itself is humble - shower didn’t quite work (tub filled with water and wont drain while shower is on) and the toilet clogged immediately (we plunged it ourself with the plunger left there) but otherwise is cute and quaint, and Bo the resident dog was the best host around! All in all… would not return. Im actually scared of Karens reply already just posting this.
